President Bush Live from the State Department
Well put.
Must run for dinner and a concert.
President Bush is the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House and most intelligent people understand that. The trolls will try and sway public opinion otherwise and the gullible fall for it. Every time. It's pathetic.
Admittedly I haven't read the whole thread, but I haven't seen one time you've blamed Bush.
Yet all the responses that I've read to you say "Stop blaming Bush!!"
Ridiculous.
I was going by your post number 242 for information about what Condi said. I guess you are now saying Condi did not say they would be disarmed? You said she seemed pretty pleased about it????
You are dead on. It's the election year open season and no matter what President Bush does or doesn't do. HE IS THE PRESIDENT AND WE ARE STILL AT WAR!
I disagree with him totally on his immigration policy but no bad-mouthing, rather, respect for the Presidency especially in wartime.
I win. It was a bet to see when you would show. I hope everyone caught that...I am sure most did. MikefromOhio can never resist following the group......just once I would like to see you fight your own battles.....
?????
ok- so we don't trust the French and the UN....
We are told this resolution is a good thing....
when do we become concerned?
AFTER Nasal Drip is reloaded and now Israel would have to literally engage the actual World (UN forces) in order to defend itself the next time?
I can't think of a better set up to finally tilt the whole world to turn against Israel than forcing them to protect themselves with the "Peacekeepers" between them and the enemy.....
I have company coming...gotta jet.
Take care...
Thank you Miss Marple...
Enjoy your time with fellow believers...
God Bless you..
LOL!!!
I would be surprised if that happen... but I would LOVE IT!
although- I am sure it would throw a bit of a wrench into the "peace"
:o)
According to the resolution, the UN secretary general is due to present a plan to disarm Hezbollah within 30 days.
It will take time to get it done, but this plan has the full backing of President Bush, Secretary Rice and Ambassador Bolton. Disarming Hezbollah is a top priority for us, so try to have a little faith.
So predictable, but you bore me.
Well lets not take things out of context shall we? It might actually put some perspective back in for you and you can calm down some in that Bush outlined what he meant by what actions he said he would take.
Blockquote> Americans are asking: How will we fight and win this war? We will direct every resource at our command -- every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war -- to the disruption and to the defeat of the global terror network.
This war will not be like the war against Iraq a decade ago, with a decisive liberation of territory and a swift conclusion. It will not look like the air war above Kosovo two years ago, where no ground troops were used and not a single American was lost in combat.
Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes. Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen. It may include dramatic strikes, visible on TV, and covert operations, secret even in success. We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. (Applause.) From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.
Well lookiee here. Bush's first stated step is every means of diplomacy. If he had said his first step is to blow everyone against us off the map like you imply, then I can see you being disapointed. But you're implications are wrong...again.
LOL!
thank you....I thought it meaningless to bring it up....
I was trying to stay focused on the issue and information about the actual resolution....
I did respond to a post by someone waiting for the Bush bashing....I claimed I was teetering....LOL.....
not everyone on this thread knows me very well.....so my sense of humor can get me into lotz o trouble!
but that just comes with the territory....
no biggie... I can take it...if I couldn't handle it- I would not embrace it in my nic...
;-)
Hezbollah won. In the eyes of the Arabs, they stood up to Israel, and, by extension, the U.S., took the worst we could give, and are still defiant.
By extension, the Iranians and Syrians have also won. Their operatives gained points with the international community, so they did too.
This entire operation was poorly managed by the Israelis and by Washington.
OUR goal and THEIR goal should have been total extermination of Hezbollah at any cost.
The west continues to misjudge other societies by assuming they want the same things we essentially do. Muslims do not.
Bush gave a good performance at the start of his two terms, but it has steadily deteriorated.
Whoever is giving him foreign policy advice and advice on our southern border is wrong and we will pay the price in the mid-terms and afterwards - perhaps even in 2008.
We will also pay the price when America is overrun with mosques and madrassehs and starts to resemble Londonstan.
If we pull out of Iraq and the Ayatollahs and Syria are STILL THERE we will have wasted our manpower and money for nothing.
AH!
so that is where the confusion is!
thank you for that post and info!
now... to muster faith that the UN will actually come up with a successful plan to disarm the Hezzies......and have the balls to carry it out....
now- if this is part of the Resolution- and I believe you when you say it is- I would love to know why Nasal Drip is okay with it.......
He must be skeeered of the UN as much as Iran is....
I know- I am such a pesimist....
;-)
sorry, I just couldn't resist.
Of course, I agree with most everything you said, but get ready, no differing opinions allowed.....
