I was only letting a fellow freeper understand that he/she was being attacked by group-think, nothing more, nothing less. That's your position? Gee, it sure didn't sound like it when you whined:
Only certain people are allowed to express outrage at certain things. Only certain people are allowed to tell others to "go to hell" or call names, (example, dumbass) and get away with it.

But remember that if the Freepers were ineffective the DUmmies wouldn't bother us!!
To: kjam22
Israel can easily pick up where they left off and finish the job. So hezzie hasn't gained much of anything of value.

we just give them freedom then they'll quit being terroristsYou need to quit reading only the Cliffs notes on this conflict and pay closer attention.

Great post, Dr.Deb. Thanks so much for posting that here.
That's what I'd been hearing directly from the players involved, but too many freepers decided it was more fun to bash the president and the administration.

Guess that's why I dont take it very seriously. Condi said they will be disarmed. I'm more willing to hang my hat on that than anything the French say.

As much as a joke about turning the desert into glass is here, we will never unless if we were nuked first do such a thing, so we have to take the long honorable route to meet our ends.

I heard it too. I'm not on the bandwagon of dishing Condi...There's lots more going on than we know about. The bottom line...it's a fight of good vs evil.

Well, if you didn't TYPE in ALL CAPS in LOTS OF your sentences, using lots of !!!!! and phrases like "Hezboallah won't be disarmed!" perhaps I wouldn't think you are a trifle overwrought.
And France always uses weasel words and tries to avoid getting their own Muslims stirred up. You should know better than to let yourself get riled up by the French. The French are going to be part of the force because Lebanon was a French colony (another of their success stories) and the Lebanese are comfortable with them. I imagine the Turks will be the ones disarming Hezbollah. They are pretty tough customers, those Turks.

:) I'd bet you a signed picture of Ronald Reagan that in 2 years the Hezbollah will still not be disarmed.

IOW, your synagogue is always offended by something or other that the President is doing. Which explains why they're all dems in the first place.

That's for sure. George W. Bush has been more supportive of Israel than almost any president that I can think of. I think the Israeli government blew this with their very weak response. I mourn for the Israeli's who lost their lives for nothing more than a "ceasefire." What a very poor use of a mighty military.

Because there is the public face of this conflict and the behind the scenes face of this conflict.
As confusing as it seems on the surface, things make a lot more sense in hindsight. Be patient.
If you're interested I can lead you to a theory that makes good sense to me.
To: kjam22
I'm not taking any bets. What's I've done on this thread is report mis-statements and mis-characterizations such as that no one will even TRY to disarm the Hezzbos.
Since Condi said the armed military going into Southern Lebanon will try and do that, are tasked to doing that, I'll take her word over some freeper who has consistently misrepresented this administration's policy or over the press which has consistently done the same.
