President says that we need tools to fight the terrorists. Says we need the Patriot Act...and other programs. Lessons of the past week are that there is still a war on terror. That is the lesson.

today we and this speech should be countering the Arab propaganda machine with well thought out, onstructive steps to be sure Hizbollah really is disarmed. we can't let their "victory" propaganda go unanswered. we miss this every time....and it sets us back.

I TOTALLY agree with you! Israel didn't keep up it's end. They backed down. Once they showed an unexpected weakness, we had no choice.

Okay, explanation accepted. To make it clear, the President did NOT say the Hezzies won. In fact, he said that of course they claim victory, but they did not win.
