"I know my synagogue is furious with the bush administration for having double standards in how it dictates israel's self defense against terrorist."

Why, we (US txpayers) give you money. You accept our money. You do as you're told. That's how the game works, unfortunately.

I thought Lieberman lost his primary so he is not on the ballot.

The whole world watched how we handled this...not just us- but Israel, the UN, etc.....

bottom line- no one is going to disarm the Hezzies- and no one is going to stop Iran from re-arming them....

WHY?

how do you fight a war by allowing the enemy to grow stronger?

it is more like a boxing match than war... complete with the breaks between rounds....

No one has taken credit for the abduction as of yet, but it happened in Gaza so you can probably guess it's more likely to be Hamas.

Yes, but you did not say anything of that, you said there power stemmed from democracy which is a falsehood, there power stems from a Syrian occupation that empowered and supplied them for years, a young democracy that has barely just started is hardly to blame for that mess.

Well, if you think that this is all President Bush and Condi's fault, and that they would willingly sign onto something that would harm Israel, there is nothing to be said to you.

When the Hezbollah hit innocent civilians on purpose, they celebrated.

To hezbollah there are no innocent civilians, only infidels.

He's running as an Independant.

I am going to hold out hope that something will give. Perhaps Israel will change leaders? I just can not wrap my head around this.

Why if the world would have asked us to stop fighting A.Q. because we were winning? We WOULD NEVER stop. How can Israel stop? I just don't believe all of this.

So I shall hold out some hope for something else

The press wants Hezb'allah to be the victor.
US will always stand behind Israel, that's clear.
The UN mandate states that Israel CAN protect herself.

At this point, we're giving Iran and Syria some "rope".
IMO, there's more to come...and soon.

Well if you intend to have a mature democracy in Lebannon..... do you just tell them that there are certain people they can't vote for? Are we going to tell them that they can't vote for members of Hezbollah??

***But you do agree that they are an elected party in the government.***

Only if you agree that Alabama, or any of our states, can elect a government and run the whole of the USA.
