WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County | Stephanie Studebaker, Democratic candidate for Ohio's Third Congressional District, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail Sunday morning on a charge of domestic violence, according to jail records.

"The campaign and I have no comment," Will Evans, communications director for the Studebaker campaign, said Monday. He added that he would put out a press release addressing the matter later Monday.

Studebaker, a resident of Washington Twp., was booked in at 11:27 a.m., according to jail records. She was released on a $25,000 cash surety bond at 2:51 p.m., according to the Victim's Information Notification System and jail records.

Studebaker's Republican opponent in the November election is Rep. Mike Turner, R-Centerville.

Schadenfreude! And I'll bet this woman's anti-war, because "violence never solves anything". Just speculating, of course. Can't wait to see the rest of the story when it comes out.

Had a Studebaker Golden Hawk in high school. Loved it and wish I could have kept the car until today. Great little ride.

Obviously a republican setup

A third certainty in life, other than death and taxes, is "it's Bush's fault" to the lib dems and MSM.

I found this on the cached version of her website:

"Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my campaign for Congress. As a mother, veterinarian, and lifelong resident of southwest Ohio, I understand the challenges our families face. For too long regular citizens in our home have had no one to serve as their voice. I will serve in Congress as a citizen legislator and fight for all of our interests.

As those of you who have been following the campaign know, we are generating serious national attention and support. Recently, I received endorsements from Senator John Edwards and Governor Mark Warner. Furthermore, I will be hosting two fundraisers with high profile figures: talk show host Phil Donahue, and Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur. Email Scott Dworkin at Scott@studebakerforcongress.com to RSVP. I hope you can join me! "

"Warren County Summer Dinner with the Candidates
August 19, 2006 (7:30 pm - 10:30 pm)
Join Stephanie, Ted Strickland, Sherrod Brown and special guest Rep. John Conyers at the Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon. $75 per person. Go to http://warrencountydems.org for more information."

Belmont Sanchez used to race them, his dad owned a Studebaker agency, but they all had blown Chrysler Hemis in them.

He couldn't drive them since he was too fat to get in them but the guy was a real clown and a laugh a minute to be around.
