"Delahunt obstructed airport security" says GOP Opponent Jeff Beatty (MA Election)

Statement by Jeff Beatty on defeating aviation terrorist attacks: Criticizes Rep. Delahunt for obstruction to airport security

HARWICH - Jeff Beatty, Republican candidate for U.S. Congress issued the following statement on defeating aviation terrorist attacks.

"Congratulations to the Law Enforcement, Intelligence and Security Services of Great Britain, and the United States. Today's foiling of a large-scale terror plot that had the potential to kill as many as 2,000 passengers on up to 10 aircraft over the Atlantic is a tremendous achievement!

“Today, we are reminded that we were attacked before and those who would attack us will not go away-they intend to attack us again. We are clearly in a global war on Terror. As a former Delta Force Officer, an FBI Agent advising the national Hostage Rescue Team, and a CIA Counter-terrorism Officer with years of service in Europe and the Middle East, I know this enemy and I know what it will take to protect America from this threat and others that will follow.

“As a candidate for the US Congress, I will work hard for more successes like today. As we honor today's victory, let us look at some of the work that is not being done - sadly, by our current Representative, Bill Delahunt.

“Mr. Delahunt is simply under-qualified to deal with these threats. He is often, in fact, not helping us, but actually hurting us. Just last month Mr. Delahunt opposed a Congressional resolution aimed at encouraging Venezuela to tighten up it's porous airport security because to quote Delahunt the resolution's "language condemning the Chavez Government will provoke headlines in Venezuela, that will be used by Chavez's opponents in the forthcoming presidential campaign..." Mr. Delahunt seems more concerned about a Hostile leader's successful re-election than good security for Americans.

“Today, while we celebrate and enjoy the benefit of the British and American success, let us resolve to better secure America by electing a successful veteran in the war on Terror to the US Congress. I, Jeff Beatty, pledge to you that I will always put Americans and America first."

"He's got a hard row to hoe, in defeating Delahunt, who is as dug in in MA as the Kennedy's."

I'm not certain of that.

Delahunt would probably lose easily if it were not for his gerrymandered District. I mean the guy lives probably 10 miles or less from Downtown Boston, and he represents Cape Cod, the Islands, and a somewhat conservative District very south of Boston? These hacks have got their demographics nailed down pretty good it seems from the evidence.

On the other hand Gerry Studds managed to keep that seat despite his statutory rape of a Ward of Congress, and other transgressions.

Massachusetts is one screwed up place. Oh, and by the way, the Big Dig scandal, has virtually vanished from the local news. I suspect some Union clout being invoked big time behind the scenes.

Oh, I'm sure! The Unions have been in bed with the Dems for years.

I noticed that as well.....now hear very little about it.
We had family from KS visit this weekend and they went back to Logan via the Harbor Express boat.....a great way to avoid the Big Dig traffic mess.

You are right that this district was expertly gerrymandered to make sure it stayed Dem.....but I think people might be ready for a change.

This recent foiled airplane plot is the perfect time for counter-terrorism expert Jeff Beatty to gain traction!

Delahunt is too chummy with Chavez and he voted against the reauthorization of the Patriot Act!

I am more than happy to add my Bump for Jeff Beatty! I've also read the thread and heard the term "lost cause" used. No cause worth fighting for is ever a "lost cause", in my honest opinion. Never, ever, stop fighting the good fight. Our country's future depends on our determination and diligence.

I just hope that the "foiled terror plot" is not forgotten by voters by November 7. If so, we'll have to remind them.

Good Morning .........BUMP

Jeff Beatty will defeat Delahunt because:

1. In the MA 10th there is a left wing 'Impeach Bush' candidate on the ballot as an independent - That will take up to 9 points from Delahunt in MA

2. Beatty's district elected a republican governoner,
Mitt Romney last time out with 55.7% of the vote!

3. MA has a huge Veteran Population.

4. If we decide Beatty wins - Beatty wins.
We have that power. Lets use it!

Add it up! It means a win for anti-terrorism expert and Veteran Jeff Beatty. All we need to do is give him a boost.

The 101st was surrounded at Bastogne but prevailed. Beatty was shot down, left for dead behind the lines but got 16 wounded out. He is a former Delta Force Officer who entered the race for us because we needed him.

Jeff Beatty has the right stuff.

Lets put on a blitz to get him jump started.
