Religious group bristles at Bush term ‘Islamic fascists’
WASHINGTON - U.S. Muslim groups criticized President Bush Thursday for calling a foiled plot to blow up airplanes part of a “war with Islamic fascists,” saying the term could inflame anti-Muslim tensions.

“We believe this is an ill-advised term and we believe that it is counter-productive to associate Islam or Muslims with fascism,” said Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations advocacy group.

I don't agree with that. A director with the company I work for is Muslim. He does't go to the mosque. Doesn't worship. Really, the only thing he does is avoid pork etc. He's 52 years old and has been in this country for 25 years. He's not a threat in any way.
He has two kids who are in highschool. Who knows if one of them will become a threat in the next few years? That's where the danger is.
They are not Christians...
Here's a tip... condemn the terrorists and maybe you won't have to be afraid of being thought of as one of them.

I too am in a tizzy and possibly even a bit inflamed because of Bush mispeaking. Why can't his staff get him to understand that the term is "Islamofascists". I mean is that too much to ask? Well, that's all I have time to say. It's cold in here and I have to go throw another Koran in the fire.
Then how can you say he is not a threat in any way? If he's raising muslim kids, he's a direct threat to U.S. security.
Do we need to be flooding the Whitehouse with email supporting the President this morning? CAIR is not representative of the American People.

Well, 'Islamic terrorists' was already taken.
The problem the conservative moslems have is they have no central authority. Every local mosque leader is all the authority they have aside from their basic documents. Anyone who stands up as spokesman will become a target of the islamists. Nevertheless, the idea that the islamists are the new nazis is backwards. The nazis got much of their anti-Jewish sentiment, pogroms, and practice such as the yellow badge from Spanish Islam.
