Kind of hypocritical, considering she and her fellow dims spend every waking moment trying to impede anything the Bush Administration does to improve national security.

She quickly praised Blair and his administration. If this had been discovered in the US, she would have NEVER praised President Bush and his administration.

Even though House Minority Leader Pelosi is the Poster Child for "San Francisco liberals," apparently she does not have as much of a tin ear as Senate Minority Leader Reid. Reid thinks that using these arrests as a basis to attack Republicans is a good idea.

From this statement, Pelosi has a better sense that being "soft on security" is NOT the right message for Democrats, just about now. However, the Democrats will degenerate back to that message, and will lose as a result of it.

Lucky thing the NY Times didn't get wind of this. They would have blown the surveillance and taken the side of the terrorists.

My first thoughts also but I bet they are working overtime to expose how the surveillance was done.

She forgot to mention that these were "home grown" citizens of GB and that she support all attempts to protect similar citizens of the US from being detected.

Nothing the 9/11 commission recommended would have done a f***ing thing to help this situation, Nancy Pointless.

The stuff Bush did, did.

Pelosi and Reid could easily have made a joint statement since they each said exactly the same things. Somebody's guilty of plagerism.

Doesn't she realize that airports are only one type of "entry"? and one type of weapon? What a dummy. What a stupid statement.

It's all about survaillance BEFORE they get to the plane....like phone calls...and web messages and money transfers

Nancy...The botox is flattening your brain!!

The same recommendations were made by the Senate Investigation PRIOR to the 9-11 commission. Geez...Do we have to call Gore Lick to verify it??

"Last night, Connecticut voters sent a clear message for change, rejecting
President Bush's failed policies. Voters in Connecticut and across the nation are seeking a new direction to make America safer, our economy stronger, and to broaden opportunity for all.

"I respect the decision of the voters and endorse the Democratic candidate, Ned Lamont, and look forward to working with him for a great congressional victory in Connecticut."

Anybody want to lay odds she cancelled her flight on United and has "found" a private means of transportation to go back to CA for the summer recess?

"She also forgot that it was due to Bush's lack of vigilance. And the War in Iraq."

She left that part up to Harry Reid!

Well, thank you Nancy. Yes, a terrorist plot has been foiled (or at least we hope it's completely foiled), but no thanks to the Dems! You and your party have done your damndest to make it as difficult as possible to fight this War on Terror! Also, perhaps you should also commend President Bush and his administration for their assistance in foiling this plot.

One thing we know for sure, we are only safer because your party isn't running the show.

We Democrats are more credible on the war on Terror, we agree that tracking terrorist by the cell phones and bank records is illegal. Therefore we want the terrorist to succeed. What could be more plainer?

The video on the local evening news of the sister screaming about discrimination just because of their names was actually funny. My husband and I laughed out loud.

Even if it had just been the phones, it would have been suspicious, but with everything else found with these two, what are supposed to think. What other logical reason could explain why someone would pay people to buy untraceable phones and remove the chips?

Today we wake up to this other plot. Wouldn't it be nice if we could ALL live under that secluded rock the liberals seem to have found to escape reality?
