NO LIQUIDS OR GELS OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED IN CARRY ON BAGGAGE. ITEMS MUST BE IN CHECKED BAGGAGE. This includes all beverages, shampoo, sun tan lotion, creams, tooth paste, hair gel, and other items of similar consistency.

My hubby and son are flying to Canada next week for a family reunion (hubby was Canadian.) They always pack light and hate to check luggage but just take carry on. I told them they'll just have to leave the "toiletries" at home and buy some when they get to their destination if they want to take just carry on.

This is going to create huge back-ups at the airport because not everybody will know about the notices and many people carry their toiletries with them in a carry-on.

High, or Orange for all commercial aviation operating in the U.S., including international flights

I hope the threat level goes down and the restrictions are dropped before I go to Canada and Alaska next month.

Baby bottles and liquid prescription medicines will be allowed once they have been ETD tested and the prescriptions are verified.

There must be a baby present.

No jello allowed, either.

In England they're making adult passengers taste test everything. I didn't see that done here, YET. ;^)

If an attack indeed is foiled, then we are lucky. As Secretary Rice puts it, when guarding against terrorists, we have to be right 100% of the time whereas the enemy only has to be right once. The best defense is a good offense, and the surest way for us to prevent attacks is to take the fight to the enemy.

Wasn't there a guy, several weeks ago, with hollowed out shoe heels, batteries and a clock who was stopped by security, then let go.

Great -- I have to fly cross-country tomorrow.

Might as well go to the airport now so I can make my 10 am flight tomorrow.

There must come a point where political correctness will have to be jettisoned for the sake of good sense, the general welfare of our citizens, and stopping the hemorrhaging of resources.
The inconvenience and expense to millions of travelers can't be justified to satisfy the needs of a handful of muslim non-citizens.

Banning all foreign muslims from all flights to the US would be an excellent start with flights for US non citizen muslims allowed only once --- out.

Even the cost of "tolerance" has a limit. Currently it must be billions$ yearly in time lost, inconvenience and frustrations. It's just a matter of time that things will change, specially when there is little or no evidence of the existence of the "good" muslim. Talk is cheap. Positive action non-existent.

PC almost killed people.
When will this country have the courage to kick out islamists and prevent anyone from heavily islamist countries from coming in?
