Dick Morris, America's most prominent campaign strategist, tells NewsMax that the biggest victim of Joe Lieberman's stunning loss in Connecticut's Democratic primary is Hillary Rodham Clinton.
"The big loser last night was Hillary Clinton," Morris said. "She has to go through the Democratic [presidential] primaries to win and it is an increasingly hostile place for someone who voted for the war and has not recanted."
Senator Clinton has not announced a 2008 bid, but most political observers say she will run and already holds the frontrunner mantle because of her ability to raise funds and tap into her husband's political network.
But Morris says Lieberman has a good chance to win this November's general election as an independent candidate.
"Over one million people will vote in the general election and the fact that Lamont was able to get 150,000 to 200,000 left-wing Democrats to back him doesn't mean he can win in November, Morris said. He added: "Lieberman will broaden the focus of the race to include his work on the environment, climate change, homeland security, tobacco, campaign finance reform and a host of other issues."
"Lamont will increasingly emerge as the lightweight he really is," Morris concluded.
I sure wish I had shorted BP stock last year.
>>Dick Morris: Hillary Clinton Big Loser in Lieberman Loss <<
its not a coincidence that she has recently been calling for Rumsfeld to resign - she knows she's vulnerable to the loonier left.
"But Morris says Lieberman has a good chance to win this November's general election as an independent candidate. "
Methinks Dick Morris likes his current job
:)
Dickie Boy might actually be right about something!
good news all around
Have to admit, I had a hard time getting past that one.
"------environment, climate change, homeland security, tobacco, "
I find it astonishing that tobacco is even considered important enough to be mentioned along with the other issues.
Tobacco ?
Yeah, this one's obvious. But she's NEVER had a shot anyway.
"Most prominent campaign strategist" would be Karl Rove, not Dick Morris.
"Dick Morris America's most prominent campaign strategist." What happen to Karl Rove?
Put a prostitute's toe in a freakshow's mouth and he could say anything. Tomorrow maybe he'll give us an updated Hurricane forecast.</p>
He doesn't think his work on Israel is important?

Dick, ya get 2 big toes for that one, pedicured, of course.
I highly doubt it. Her political will, cleverness and connections are very formidable (unfortunately). A speed bump at most on her way to the Dem nomination.
2 - 3 months ago, Morris said that Lieberman should pull out then and declare as in independent, because if Joe lost the primary, he would be labelled as a loser and there was no way he could recover and win the general. Dick Morris changes his tune far as quickly as the wind.
Ousting Lieberman exposes a deep divide in the RAT party. The antiwar left might be celebrating tonight, but me thinks November will not be a win for the RATS, I believe they will lose seats
This is such a win-win-win-win-win for us, it's not even funny. The only thing better would be if the Connecticut GOP had been smart enough to actually field an honest candidate.
