On Monday, the AP recalled a photo that it had transmitted Sunday night of a worker in Alaska examining an oil pipeline. In that photo, the worker appeared to have four handsSuch an easy nuance to overlook in the initial editing...

careless use by the photographer of ... a "cloning tool." Okay. I can understand cropping and balancing for color and contrast. But maybe some apologist for the AP can tell me why they need to use a cloning tool for a news photograph. Also the AP might indicate who Photoshops the picture: is it the photograhper, or the AP, or both?

They better take a good look at his alter ego/side kick "Issam Kobeisy". (And Reuters is keeping him on staff to promote more "fauxtography")

A Lebanese civil defence worker removes the body of a toddler from the wreckage of a building August 8, 2006 that was hit by an Israeli raid in Beirut. The attack which took place yesterday on Chiyah, a residential neighbourhood in Beirut, killed 13 people and wounded dozens according to police. REUTERS/Issam Kobeisy (LEBANON)
(horrid gash/no blood-at least they've started plastering the bodies in dust more evenly)
Apparently, others have noticed the similarities in the two photographers' work. The Jawa Report cites these two "different" images by the two different photographers:

The disturbing make believe photos from this disturbing make believe event are shown below. Dont allow children under the age of 30 to view this horror caused by Israel. Of course, this is Bush's fault.
