General Motors Corp. plans to bring back the Chevrolet Camaro as a production vehicle, a published report says.
GM chairman and chief executive officer Rick Wagoner is expected to announce the return of the muscle car in a speech Thursday at an automotive conference in Traverse City, Mich., the Detroit Free Press reported yesterday.
It could be built as early as 2008, the newspaper reported, citing unnamed people familiar with the plans. GM spokesman Christopher Preuss said yesterday that he couldn't comment on the report.
GM had won praise for its Camaro concept, which was unveiled in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The 2002 model year was the last for an earlier incarnation of the Camaro, which began its run with the 1967 model.
Add the 300M to the list.
I get a "gansta" "superfly" impression from all.
Mullet-friendly headrest is optional.
FIAT- Fix it again, Tony! or Feeble Italian Attempt at Transportation.
JAGUAR- Jews and Germans Usually Argue Retail.
LOL....... Of course a Professional Engineer would have a members only jacket......I am suprised my husband never had one.....
Too ugly and too late. I had a real '69 Camaro and this ain't it.
It's 'vette city for me next spring.
I miss the Olds
It's sharp looking and will be a hot seller.
It's not a car I would buy but I agree with you. I like the bold styling and I think it will sell.
OK, the mullets will be back too.
Gee, how's your Camry running?
I haven't seen sales numbers but I sure have noticed that there are quite a few CTS' and STS' on the road lately. I like the styling and am so glad that Cadillac decided to dump most of the chrome they used to plant all over those cars.
I really think Cadillac might be getting into Lexus' and Mercedes' shorts a little bit.
"reduce its radar signature?"
LOL,The Italian Stallions will be happy.
It is running just fine. Very roomy and 25 mpg on my daily highway drive.
You got that straight; GM f**ked up big time when they dropped them.
