Hugo Chávez Withdraws Venezuela's Ambassador to Israel
Prensa Libre (Spanish-language article) ^ | August 4, 2006 | DPA

(English-language translation)

Caracas - Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez announced yesterday that he ordered the withdrawal of his country's ambassador to Israel in protest over the "genocide" caused by the Israeli military offensive in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

Upon his return from a two-week overseas trip that included a visit to Iran, Chávez said he was infuriated by how Israel keeps "trampling, bombing, and tearing apart" innocent [civilians] with "gringo" aircraft while the United Nations Security Council does nothing.

He added that that is one of the reasons the United States wants to prevent Venezuela's gaining a seat in the U.N. Security Council, because "it knows that Venezuela will be a voice that defends the rights of the voiceless."

Hugo's in 'good guy mode' as he puts on airs for other third world countries. Just this week he was trying to convince Bolivia and other countries to combine their military with his under the guise of 'a military alliance to stand against the US,' but everybody with half a noodle knows it's just the first step in expanding his holdings. Once your military is now under his control, how can you refuse him? It's coming so slow and obviously that it's unbelievable that anyone is going to fall for it, but you know they will.

Why would they have an ambassador to Israel?

Hugo's getting himself into some hot water...

And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

G-d to Abraham, Genesis 12:3

Oh, one more thing, Hugo, don't let the door hit you in your Red Commie ass on your way out.

Chavez is determined to be a worldwide menace to civilization and democracy; it's likely he's now supplying arms and ammo to rebels and narco-terrorists in Latin America, especially in Colombia.

Hugo-Castro-Wannabe: "We're leaving this party and we ain't comin' back! And we're taking the cheese puffs we brought! Come on, Trixie!"

[Whew! I thought that schmuck would never leave! Did you try those cheese puffs? I bit into one and it was so bad I tried to give it to the dog and the dog spat it out. Wrap 'em up tight before you throw them out, if the kids get a hold of them they'll think they're big BBs and somebody will lose an eye]

[Israeli Defense Minister to Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld: Say, y'all got any more of those great "gringo" airplanes? Huh? "Gringo!" Oh, OK, got it, F-16s! Sorry, we thought "gringo" was the Latin American name for F-16s!"]

The only thing surprising about this is that Chevez didn't do it sooner.
Maybe his Iranian buddies reminded him.

Israel should recall its ambassador from Caracas. Like the old saying has it, one is judged by the company one keeps. I wouldn't want to be in Chavez's company with guys like Fidel and Ahmedinejad around him. Good riddance!
