FoxNews is providing aid to Hezbollah!
FoxNews Channel | 8/3/2006 | News Guys

I am watching the news, and I see reporters showing the exact position where rockets are landing in Israel.

Great spotting guys!

If you agree they are harming Israel, at the expense of being "objective", please join with me and email them or better call them to ask them to be more responsible. Rant over.

Doesn't matter if the barrages Hezbollah is sending over are being called for spotting. They don't know how to correct the aim even with that information. They may as well be lobbing hand grenades with a big catapult.

The whole purpose is not necessarily to KILL anybody (which is mostly incidental) but to sufficiently terrorize and demoralize the Israeli civilians so they consider fleeing Israel altogether.

"Drive them into the sea." It matters not at all to the Islamofascists whether the Jews in Israel board ships, or swim, or simply walk out into the water until they drown. The whole objective is to get the Israelis to vacate Israel.

And the Islamofascists have several chances for success. Fat, slim, none and zilch. Which, oddly enough, comes out to be exactly the same thing.

At various levels, the Arabs have been trying these same tactics since about 1947, and STILL have not sufficiently impressed the Israelis that leaving is in any way a good idea.

Now, you understand, up to now, the brunt of the effort to evict the Jews from the Holy Land has been mostly the task of the Sunni Wahhabist jihad warriors, and considering their singular lack of success, the Shi'ite Hezbollah faction now thinks they shall persevere and succeed where the Wahhabists could not.

This bespeaks of an internal struggle for control of the Islamic theology, a wedge issue that probably will not be an effective one for most of the non-Muslim world to exploit. But by playing it right, the Shi'ites and Sunnis could get so caught up in circling each other for supremacy, that could take a lot of pressure off the rest of the world.

Question - how can we get Hezbollah to directly confront al-Qaeda and the Wahhabists, and take their fight outside somewhere?

If you just watched Palkot he told Israel unless you come here you are not going to get all the rockets. Mentioned the launchers are just over his right shoulder, and they have been firing.

Sometimes, in response, I'd love to see a small mushroom cloud, and another, and another...

Treat it like any other cancer. Radiation works!

How do you explain them hiring Wesley Clark? They've trotted out every "expert" to make a claim Israel is losing and can't win.

Empty all your pockets, take off that belt, and put it with your shoes! (Oh, yeah. Click it or ticket! )

Those rockets were designed by the Soviets as a mass fire weapon.
Their doctrine was to volley fire enough of them to target a grid square.
The rags aren't using them as designed but are rather firing them either singly or in small numbers as a terror weapon.

Your big guns fired a round which were stable and consistent in flight.
Also you guys took great pains to survey your firing location and compute impact location based on physics.
The "up, down, right, left" adjust fire works because your artillery isn't crap like 50's vintage Soviet rockets.

Why, thank you. Your dis-approval noted. Your SPOTW award can keep its place up yours, thanks.

This was in response to post #16, not your post.

"How does it help Israel, if the bombs are landing in their streets and homes?"

If people in Israel are watching FOX, they then become aware of which areas are being hit and, as a result, gain knowledge of which neighborhoods should (potentially) be evacuated.

The time between the impact and the report, plus the time to get the intel from some leader's office with cable TV to a rocket crew racing away from their last firing point makes it unlikely that any useful spotting could result. But Fox should err on the side of caution.

Then address me direct. I'll ask you the same question, explain their hiring of Wesley Clark if they weren't turning more liberal? Do you think they were fair and balanced without Clark or tilted too far to the right?

They know how to elevate to a mark, and light it off.

Have you seen these rockets? The aiming mechanism is far less precise than that of our tube artillery. Orders of magnitude worse. They have no firing tables. But most important is the dispersion of the rounds. Fire an M198 at 10,000 meters on the same elevation and deflection, and you're going to be within 50 meters. Do the same thing with these rockets, and you could easily be 500 meters off.

The other point is that to adjust rounds, you have to 1) maintain your position, and 2) have close to real-time observation. Hezbollah shoots and scoots. One volley, that's it. Then they CSMO and get the hell out of there before the Israeli aircraft or counterbattery fire responds. So "adjustments" aren't something they do at all.

Second, for the FoxNews video to be of any value, the rocket crews would have to have the TV on right in their location. And, they'd have to know that the rounds being shown on TV were actually the rounds they fired. Of course, since they're only firing one volley and then scooting, the whole concept of adjusting onto a target is moot anyway.

Alright then.

Your post #16 was non-sensical hot air. 'Fair and balanced' means just that - fair and balanced. Fox should have a few far-left wackos on their network to show the stark contrast between Conservatism and the loony left. Nothing highlights that better than having them together on one network.

2 things:

1. I am not sure if they have broadband service inthe war zone

and

2. Do not refer to them as towel heads. The head dress is not a towel it is a small, folded sheet. Thus, if you have to refer to themm by their head dress please call them: "Little sheet heads". Thank you.

And your point is? I mean what? That bottle rockets at 250 ft are some sort of analog for Katushas at 10 miles? Are you real?

These rockets are a joke because they are not being used as designed, by the hundred against a specific but low density target. They are not very effective unless you get extremely lucky but if you are shooting at a WWII front area that extends 60 miles to the east and west and is 5 miles deep perhaps you will hit something interesting.

The Hezbollah folks are sending these over in ones, twos and tens and bugging out before the IDF can hit the launcher. Lets get into reality. If these launchers actually tried to re-aim then the real artillery would carve them up with counter-battery.

These are simply being used as a terror weapon like Germany was using V-1's and V-2's. The hope is to hit some Civilians who just happen to get unlucky and killing folks in ones and twos suit them just fine. If they actually massed these launchers and pumped 1000 rockets into Haifa at once and killed like 500 people.. the results would be breathtaking and they know it. In that the level of response would be an order of magnitude greater by the IDF and it would be a problem for their sponsors as well. So these are just being used to stir the pot, not to do anything serious.

Then again. The commitment of that many rocket launchers to launch that number of rockets would probably assure that every launcher used in the effort was destroyed.

This is why air superiority is the trump card of war.

Rupert Murdoch supports Hillary, do you think that he would have any influence on how the news is reported? They were fair and balanced before Clark and they didn't need him.

They wouldn't be showing it if the IDF didn't allow it.

OMG! IDF is providing aid to Hezbollah too!

I believe this too...

..yesterday, one of the FOX reporters carefully covered, or had someone cover, the camera lens as he moved away from the camera...

..because the IDF had asked them not to accidentally relay their position.

The Israeli ambassador has made positive remarks about Fox giving Israel a fair shake.

The effect of the rockets hitting specific Israeli areas is needed...if not for this all we would hear from the MSM is that Lebanese civis are getting hit and the Hezzies are taking Israel to a breakeven fight.

Please. The NVA could do it in a matter of minutes - and they didn't have much more than tin cans and string.

The NVA were trained soldiers. Hezbollah is the middle eastern version of a street gang.
