PETERSBURG, Ky. - Like most natural history museums, this one has exhibits showing dinosaurs roaming the earth. Except here, the giant reptiles share the forest with Adam and Eve.

That, of course, is contradicted by science, but that’s the point of the $25 million Creation Museum rising fast in rural Kentucky

Here's a typical Lamestream media slam to us Creationists:

“Genesis is not science,” said Mary Dawson, curator emeritus of vertebrate paleontology at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. “Genesis is a tale that was handed down for generations by people who really knew nothing about science, who knew nothing about natural history, and certainly knew nothing about what fossils were.”

I don't have a dog in this fight, and could not care less about what is taught in schools or how people spend their money. However, whats the difference between this and the Ahnenerbe?

It's the typical condescending attitude of people who think those of us with faith are just ignorant....I would rather put my faith and beliefs in God, not men.

All right, I'll bite. Where is the "slam?"

Do they have a "Flintstones: Closer to the truth than you realize" exhibit?

See my reply, #7. Maybe "Slam" wasn't the right word.

So you don't believe in physics, mathematics, aerodynamics, chemistry and astronomy?

Genesis is not science, and I am a bible-thumping, born-again evangelical.

But I also know God created hominids, and evolutionary processes. He also created Man.

The spirituality, the soul and the belief in God is not a result of evolution. God made man in His image. God is a Spirit (as says Jesus Christ). God made Man by giving him a soul and giving his body the ability to accept and be the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Science cannot prove Love exists either. The primary thing God asks of us is that we Love Him.

It's not a statement about modern people at all. It's a statement that's true, 5000 years ago nobody knew anything of any of the sciences that clearly create major issues for any literal interpretation of Genesis. If reality is a slam then you need to do something about reality.

You raise a good point. It's one thing to be ignorant of science, it's another thing to consciously reject it.

Anyone who thinks humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time is a crackpot.

Now, please note I am not calling YOU a crackpot. But this "museum" sounds like a must-see for the laughs.

Then how do you explain the very large number of scientists who are both believers and supporters of ToE?

Simply supporting the ToE and other theories doesn't equal to putting faith in man before God.

That is a very reasoned and reasonable post.

I don't know if I coined the phrase, but it one I use a lot. CR/Iders frequently are guilt of willful ignorance.

And for the record, that is the worst thing I have ever said about any of them.

Science is the exploration and comprehension of nature and natural processes. It is trial and error; test and results. It began with the first hominids who learned to use natural products and phenomena for their own use by trial and error, and then shared such knowledge with other grunting apes.

The modern scientific method originated with Sir Isaac Newton. Such method is not required to be employed in order that we declare it to be "science" else you must conclude that science did not exist before Newton. Which of course is nonsense.
