"'Hezbollah agents
operating in Israel'
Terrorist says spies passing information
on rocket targets, military installations"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "HAIFA, Israel Hezbollah has an advanced spy network operating inside Israel consisting of "tens" of agents, mostly Arab-Israelis who provide the Lebanon-based terror group with strategic information such as rocket targets and locations of military installations, a senior terror leader told WorldNetDaily in an interview.
"Hezbollah agents have penetrated Palestine," said Abu Oudai, a chief rocket coordinator for the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the West Bank. "[Hezbollah] receives extremely high-quality information from their agents inside Palestine. We are talking about detailed maps of neighborhoods, locations of military bases and regular information every day from many sources to help the heroes (Hezbollah) fire rockets more accurately into [northern Israel].
The Al Aqsa Brigades, the declared "military wing" of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party, is responsible for scores of shooting attacks, rocket launchings and, together with Islamic Jihad, every suicide bombing inside Israel the past two years.
Israel says senior Brigades leaders, particularly the group's cell in Nablus in the northern West Bank, coordinate their attacks with Hezbollah and receive funding from Iran and Syria funneled through Hezbollah channels. Several Brigades leaders have spoken openly to WorldNetDaily about their group's affiliation with Hezbollah."

Time will tell on this one.
There are a lot of displaced
Lebanese Christians who have
absolutely no affiliation with Hezbollah.
So, Zawahiri puts out another tape?
I was sure we'd hear from UBL before Z-man would put out another message. Odd.
Smiling...
Thinking out of the box is always a good thing.
You're not paranoid -- you're thinking.
OPINION: The reality check is that probably not
all of the refugees are good guys, but that's only
my speculation and may or may not be an accurate
speculation.
Time will tell.
Will be interesting to see any updates to that story.
Godzilla Observations
With the Israeli government threatening to hit key Lebanonese infrastructure, I would recommend that they target Hezbollah instead. There are still rumors that the Litani River option is still on the table, but I dont anticipate anything soon. It does appear that the governments reluctance to move forward to stop the short range rockets is not going over favorably with the general population. This has come to light even more so after this weekends deadly rocket attacks.
Meanwhile, Olmert has issued another statement that the Katyusha rocket fire must be stopped and that Israel will be going forward with operations to accomplish that end. However, Olmert has been talking that talk for a couple of weeks now.
Dont expect quick results on any cease fire. For one to acceptable to either side, the other much capitulate too much.
Lebanese army calls up reserves, may deploy to south
The Lebanese army called up reservists on Monday ahead of a possible deployment of 15,000 troops to the south of the country south as Israeli troops pull out of territory. I have mixed thoughts, mostly that Hezbollah will find it easy to bully the lesser trained Lebonease army into letting it do what ever it wants to and not really disarming.
IDF Ground Offensive
Activity has picked up since the weekend, but not too much. My open sources are back up. However, pinpointing the towns where activity is taking place is a pain, especially since there are like three different names for each town.
There appears to be a push northward in the western salient over all with a new thrust along the line from Yarin northward to Majdal Zun. IDF is probably securing its positions better. A second push appears to be directed again against Bint Juayl (again) in the central salient. Additional IDF reinforcements have been noted in this area too. Scattered battles have occurred in the eastern salient, with scattered fighting between IDF patrols and Hezbolla. Additionally, some kind of activity (possible commando actions) has been taking place along the coast in the cities of Al Bayyadah Shama and Al Mansuri.
Hezbollah Rockets
Hezbollah gunners launched over 160 rockets at northern Israel on Monday. Of those, over 70 landed in and around the northern city of Kiryat Shmona, with the rest landing in Rosh Pina, Maalot, Nahariya, Safed, and Acre. Five people were lightly injured by the barrages. It appears that the massive barrages have stopped, but have been replaced by steady rocket fire that so far has not been very effective.
I this is believeable, IDF Northern Front Commander Udi Adam said . that rocket launching centers are moving north and east." This would reflect attrition and inability to resupply the areas to the south and west, back to the Bekaa Valley.
For what it is worth, Debka is reporting that rocket launches are being coordinated from the Anjar base of the Syrian Armys 10th Division opposite the Lebanese town of Az Zabdani. It is reportedly manned by Iranian and Hizballah officers, who take their orders from a Syrian military intelligence center in Damascus to which Iranian Revolutionary Guards intelligence officers are attached. This is not surprising, in fact I would expect something like this. Such a key facility would naturally be placed in a safe area.
Feds Hunt For 11 Egyptians Missing In U.S.
WASHINGTON -- U.S. authorities are searching for 11 Egyptian men who arrived in the United States last month but failed to turn up at Montana State University for a scheduled academic program.
According to the FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, the men were among a larger group of students who arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York from Cairo on July 29 with valid visas.
FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko said there is no threat associated with the men.
A law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity said the men are between 18 and 22 years old.
The official said the government probably will seek to send the students home once located because they have violated the terms of their visas.
University officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Snip: Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world has announced on Monday it would detain and prevent militants from going to the Middle East to engage in "suicide missions" to answer the call of "jihad" or holy war.
Indonesian police spokesman Anton Bachrul Alam told Xinhua News Agency, "We will conduct surveillance on them as well as conduct raids if needed. We have also alerted our immigration office to be on the lookout."
Morocco breaks up cell planning holy war
Snip: Morocco's security services broke up a terrorist network planning to declare a holy war in the northeast of the North African country, state news agency MAP reported on Monday.
The authorities arrested 44 members of the previously unknown Jammaat Ansar El Mehdi (El Mehdi Support Group) and seized explosives, propaganda material and laboratory equipment, the agency quoted an Interior Ministry statement as saying.
The group's leader "aimed to proclaim the jihad", or holy war, it said. It did not say where the arrests, the biggest such round-up this year, took place but added that the group planned to operate in the kingdom's northeast.
Snip: Here we find ourselves returned to the sentiments expressed by the Harvard commencement speaker, who sought to convince his audience that jihad is something all Americans should admire.
12th Imam - Key element of Islamic prophecy
Snip: Ray Tallman, director of the school of intercultural studies at Golden Gate Seminary, noted that the major eschatological question for Shiite Muslims is when the Mahdis return will take place - and many hold the belief that the time is near. The increasing clash with Israel and that with Christianity are two indications to Shiites that the Mahdis return could be near, said Tallman, who spent seven years as the international director for Arab World Ministries.
Snip: Shamsud-din Ali, 67, was sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison on racketeering and other charges, part of a string of convictions stemming from the FBI's sweeping probe of city corruption. He remains free pending an appeal.
In a court-supervised election on Saturday, registered Muslims voted 160-143 for a new seven-member board headed by Ali's one-time top aide Rafiq Kalam Id-din. Id-din's slate wants to reaffiliate the mosque with American Islamic leader Warith Deen Mohammed, who had appointed Ali to head the congregation in 1976.
