It's not unusual for countries to have two or more towns/villages named the same thing; usually in opposite geographic regions. If it's in the north, the IDF is going after someone big in the Hezzie command chain. If its in the Bekkaa, I hope they "find" Saddam's WMD's after killing a lot of Hezzies.

We gave them so much lead time to export the WMDs, I thought they ended up in Syria. If we find them in Hezbully country, "noch besser" as my people say (trans...far, far better!)

Tell the IDF to start looking for Saddam's WMD!

Do not be around the DNC headquarters (or hindquarters) if the IDF were to find a few truckloads of Saddam's WMDs. You will be hit by either skull fragments from exploding heads or more spinning than a whirling dervish convention.

Will Glenbeck be next?

I do not think he is the warrior type.

Well, if they're going after the hidden WMD from Iraq...it's way too late...Syria has kept what they wanted and passed the rest to terrorist.

This is an important development. As another posted stated, Baalbek is virtually the capital of Hezbollah. It and the entire Bekka Valley is the largest training ground for Islamic terror groups in the world. It has been "hands off" territory for decades. See Robt Baer (See No Evil) for a first-hand look at what it is like: a no-man's land of bombed-out buildings, where troops are trained, munitions are stored, and hostages (live or dead) are kept for ransom. If this story is true, it is the first time in a long time that I have hope that the reign of Islamo-terrorism might be weakened. This attack really cuts close to home for syria and iran. If they let this attack by IDF occur without major involvement by their own forces, we will know that they will allow the Hezzies to be defeated.

Really?

This could be big. I'm sure Mikey Moore is prepping his "Neocon/Jew Conspiracy" documentary.

It would be audacious and one of the most earth-shattering situations if Israel's attack led to finding WMD.

DU would be deserted after both their regular posters' tiny heads exploded.

Exactly.

Israel has cut off resupply, and reinforcements... basically these guys can sit in their tunnels and pill boxes and while they will probably be able to do some pot shot damage here and there, are basically trapped and will be weeded out by slow methodical movement of Isrealis and attrition.

In a perfect world, western troops would form a wall along the Iraqi border and let the israelis march all the way through Syria straight to the Iraqi border.. ending any real threat to stability to isreal from the north or Iraq from the east. Leaving Iran as the sole player to be dealt with in the region.. and with it surrounded on the east and west by western troops, will be rapidly subdued....

I know, I know.. won't happen.. but its certainly what should be happening if the civilized world is truly serious about winning the war on terror.

Countries normally don't attack themselves

All bets are off when it comes to that part of the world.

Wow! That's an Inchon-like leap from Southern Lebanon. Can't imagine they are going to stay long as they could be surrounded unless they link up with forces from the South. A hit-and-run raid? A hit on Nasrallah? A snatch-and-grab to get the kidnapped soldiers back?

Well, maybe they just drove there. The hezzies probably are melting into the populace as the IDF rides through, ala southern iraq.

.....Why is this huge??....

If you read your Orient section of Richard Halliburton's Book of Marvels, you will learn the largest building stone ever quaried lies beside the road at Balbeck.
