OK, I know this is serious war and stuff, but I'm having trouble not smiling at the concept of a . . . BATTLE LLAMA . . .LOL! Me, too. Their somewhat goofy, sweet expressions and big ears sort of do lend a touch of the comical to the proceedings. On the other hand, they are great for carrying heavy stuff over rough terrain, and for the most part are quite stealthy.
I must also say that as an animal lover, not only do I pray for the safety of their handlers, but for the llamas, themselves.

What a great idea re Llamas being used by Spec Ops. It is a great idea. Llamas are relatively compact, as beasts of burden go, and relatively quiet. They do spit, but that's OK if they spit in the Islamofacists' direction. :)

Yeah, but wait until Olmert attempts to destroy more Jewish communities in the West Bank, as he announced LAST WEEK that he plans to do!

I went there as part of the Presidential advance for Reagan's famous trip to the Bitburg cemetery. We stayed in Trier for three weeks and commuted to Bitburg. It was an eventful trip to say the least. I felt sorry for the Mayor who daughter was married to an American serviceman. The distinction between the Waffen SS and the regular SS was lost on everyone. Also, the US base commanders had been participating in similar ceremonies for nearly 20 years.
Great area. Abends Bit, morgans fit.

I don't think enough people realize what a band of criminals run Syria and the terrorist network in Lebanon.

A lightly wounded Israeli soldier is taken to the hospital in Haifa August 1, 2006. Israeli forces thrust into Lebanon on Tuesday in an escalation of the war and landed troops by helicopter in the Hezbollah heartland near Baalbek.

Hezbollah
militants thugs carry the coffin of a fellow fighter killed by Israeli air strikes in Baalbek. (Yahoo/AP/AFP are calling them militants. Thought I'd correct their captions.)
Too bad a bomb didn't fall on this place where the Hezbollah thugs were burying their dead.
