Nazrallah of Hezbollah pledged open war. They got it! The White House needs to quote that anytime there are Lebanese civilian casualties. If somehow, Hezbollah repudiates their "open war" doctrine, then the White House can start chiding Israel, but not before that!

I avoid the "live" thread like the plague. Full of small talk totally unrelated to this war, and hard to find actual news. Seemed like a good idea when they set it up, but now it seems more like a chat room.

I'm sick & tired of hearing of collateral damage. Many of these civies support the Hezbo's and at a minimum knew they were there. Are we saying that Israel must suffer rockets because they are being launched from civilian locations? Bull Crap. It's time to give one final fair warning, them bomb the hell out of them.

Very sad that the terrorists continue to put their children in harms way.

But it's better PR for them to shove them in a building next door to their rocket launchers than to do the usual and send their kids out to throw rocks at tanks and strap bombs on them to commit murder-suicide.

Of course their collaborators in the media never portray the murder of their own children as a bad thing, and only blame Israel for their deaths.

Sigh, a decades old PR stunt, God help their children to someday create a civilized community for themselves.

Lets see now just who started this action:

1. A coordinated attach on Israel by two terrorist organizations one in the south and one in the north. They killed Israel military and kidnapped others on the date that Iran was to have been brought to task for its nuke policies.

2. Rockets started to rain down when Israel tried to get their citizens back.

3. The terrorist started this action and kept the civilians from leaving so they could hide (like the cowards they are) behind women and children.

They only way to obtain peace is for the total elimination of the terrorist from the face of the earth. I personally do not think Israel is doing enough to destroy and kill all of the terrorist. But I may be wrong as I am not on the ground in the kill zone.

This "incident" seems conveniently timed and I don't trust the Lebanese for one minute.

The damaged buildings and injured people were shown on TV back in 1982 and the United States ended up sending in Marines between Arafat and the Israelis.

We all know what happened next.

Is the United States pressuring Israel to limit its "use of force" in Lebanon? Bush and Rice have used "restraint" so many times. Its bad enough with clowns like Peretz in charge in Israel, but has the United States tied Israel's hands here.

This situation is a no-win scenario that only makes sense if the United States intends to deal with Iran next year.
We don't do "wars" in election years.

Hezbollah is running interference for Iran to divert attention while they build the bombs. Keeping the ball focused on the target means tamping this problem down but its sad to see Israel being restrained into a no-win scenario.
