The Talk Shows
Sunday, July 30th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns; L. Paul Bremer, former head of the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq; Dr. Steven Rosenberg, chief surgeon at the National Cancer Institute.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Israeli U.N. Ambassador Dan Gillerman; Lebanese special envoy Nouhad Mahmoud.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora; Israeli Vice Premier Shimon Peres.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Burns; Israeli Ambassador Daniel Ayalon; cyclist and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Burns; Syrian Cabinet Minister Bouthaina Shaaban; Sens. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.
Mr. Mahmoud's responses and statements were so completely ridiculous that I am quite speechless.
Go with me here, if anything I write opens up a lightbulb, then I am a happy guy. Freepers, in general, have lightbulbs brightly shining. But hey, we are carrying this country on our backs out here in la-la land, we're raising the next generation, we're providing future soldiers. Frankly, we need more of a voice and forums like this, and Blogs, provide it. If my abilities as a scribe, such as they are, help slap those in charge in line, well this makes me happy.
Now on to the Sunday talk shows, insert wink here.
Human nature and in particular the MSM is fickle
Has this not been exactly the way we have fought this war up to this time?
######
And let us remember the parade of heads of state who traveled to the White House to have their picture taken in the Oval Office, all saying "I want to be on your side, USA."
We are all with you on that on Peach.
The UN is such a bad joke, allowing Hezzie Jihadis to launch rockets at Israel is just as good as becoming terrorists themselves. Why we even give them(the UN) the time of day I couldn't tell you. And with Coffee annon at the helm steering the leaky UN ship onto the rocks constantly and then crying a storm made him to it, it's such a bad joke! I guess his swiss oil for food banc account has not quite topped out yet.
and so the world continues to spin upside down......
You've got that right. I have to wonder sometimes if I am seeing the same things on TV when I hear commentary from the usual suspects. Unfreakingbeliveable.
"Mr. Mahmoud's responses and statements were so completely ridiculous that I am quite speechless."
He spoke as if someone has a gun at his head.
I think where Jonathan is speach is more restricted, Shep hinted several times where he is that he cannot say more.
Regarding Laura personally I prefer BOR
Flame away at me.
Thanks for the morning laugh. French in a war zone?
Absolutely
I am sure also I have heard Shep say this
He was fairly glib for someone in his position. His demeanor and responses show the country of Lebanon seems to be firmly in the grasp of Hezbollah/Iran. Gillerman had it right when he said Mahmoud would join Israel in supporting this action against Hezbollah if he could. It's obvious he cannot.
A MUST READ!

But I got a rant and it's off topic. Indulge me a minute.
It's about Neil Gabler, I hope I spelled this right, on that awful Fox show about the media. The show comes on right after the Beltway Boys, which I like.
Neil Gabler, folks, made me so mad last night I am seriously thinking of beating up on Fox to get rid of him. Not that Fox will listen to me or anything.
But last night this awful, awful, NOT a manly man, went on a hate-filled rant that left me speechless.
I simply can't describe it and hope that maybe another Freeper out there saw it. He was screaming and spitting and foaming at the mouth, shouting about how everyone should HATE President Bush.
It's really time for this nothing guy to go. He contributes nothing useful.

Alas Babylon! has posted the Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread 30 July 2006 over at FreeRepublic.COM. Great for those that can't see (or don't want to watch) all of the shows, plus there is always excellent fact checking, analysis and specialist information. There are thousands of Freepers in almost any profession you can think of who participate and provide the benefit of their expertise.
It's a great read, whether as a live thread while the shows are on or as a means to catch up on what you may have missed.
I have no clue as to whether or not anyone will notice. I do ping Hugh Hewitt and Rush when I post the preview thread there, and I just sent an email to Michelle Malkin about her "A Random Gallery of 'Lone' Shooters" with a link back to my blog. On her post she is providing some examples of "lone gunmen" who couldn't possibly be related to Islamic terrorism. Skewers the "move along, nothing to see here" crowd rather nicely. I pointed out that she hasn't gone back far enough with her examples yet, however. She didn't list Sirhan Sirhan.
A terrific read:

My childhood concept of Israel was Golda thank you for mentioning her it has bought back some good memories.
