The Talk Shows
Sunday, July 30th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns; L. Paul Bremer, former head of the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq; Dr. Steven Rosenberg, chief surgeon at the National Cancer Institute.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Israeli U.N. Ambassador Dan Gillerman; Lebanese special envoy Nouhad Mahmoud.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora; Israeli Vice Premier Shimon Peres.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Burns; Israeli Ambassador Daniel Ayalon; cyclist and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Burns; Syrian Cabinet Minister Bouthaina Shaaban; Sens. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.
Must be my age talking. That is an old saying I have heard all my life.
Agreed. Everytime I've seen Amb. Gillerman on TV, I've been impressed with his composure and command of the facts. It should be interesting to see him confound Russert and Mahmoud when they play the 'innocent civilian slaughter' card.
I heard that 'civilian' remark, as well, just as I turned on my TV. Fox news is not normal Sunday viewing for me. Do they ever talk about Israeli "civilians" living in shelters during a Mediterranean July?
Great point...
but it's inhis blood....he is a mess.....these egos just get proposterous...they forget there truly is an audience with a brain....
not to mention- Ailes is just doing what the left does...if people don't like you- then you have to prove them wrong by becoming their tool......
how charming....
the Left had become the terrorists' tool box...
sorry left the topic on ya- LOL! you were talking about Ailes.....
;-)
Kinda like with Laura sitting in for bor. I changed channels whenever a repeat of him came on. Laura was very good!
All the drama.....arg

Good Morning All,
I will be doing the top ten today. Since I am at work and things are rather hectic prob will not be posted until Tue morning
Just cause it's not PC to be a conservative NYC is no excuse to not stand with the people who brought you to the ball.
Rupert/Ailes think they can treat us like the rats treat the blacks! Sorry guys it doesn't work that way! We have somewhere else to go. We can always go back to the net or be content with talk radio. We like you guys (FNC) somewhat, but we really don't need your net at all if you go to the dark side on us.
Where did that happen, OF? At the Pebble Beach confab?
The warped cowardly terrorist hide behind their own women and children while they attack.
They either get away with it or drag awaiting reporters to see their dead women and children they hid behind.
Good morning Rodguy!
Well- to wake up to that just was a bit unnerving.. and of course- the first thing I did was JUMP out of bed...threw a few choice words a the TV (the word blond was in there)....then raced to the computer and turned it on to come here....LOL!
I have no life....
I am a FREEPER!
;-)
yeah- they are constantly all bent up over the suffering of Israel.......
(eye roll)
Neither Russer nor Andrea Mitchell are mentioning that Israel warns civilians to leave areas that the IDF are prepared to bomb.
Neither "reporter" thinks it's important to mention how Hezbollah uses civilians as human shields. Hezbollah is using the mainstream media, and the media is apparently either too agenda-driven or clueless to understand how they are being managed by the jihadists.
Kelly Wright has made that point repeatedly this morning, so there is at least one.
Steve Centanni (sp?) on F&F talking about how the hezzies put their rockets among civilians, so of course there are civilian deaths when the Israelis fire back.
All I can say is thank goodness the media wasn't intent on documenting every civilian death when the allies bombed civilians and apartment buildings in Germany and Japan.
The outcome of WWII would have been entirely different if we had the media then that we have today.
Good morning, EC. I have only seen what Fox has shown, but it is very scary! Golda was right - they have to love their children more than they want to kill Jews - and they are no where near that.
Gillerman on MTP saying they grieve the deaths of the children, but that they are the victims of the Hezbollah. He says they may have been held against their will. This serves only Hezbollah's purposes.
I've been poised to say MIHOP all morning. Looks like Gillerman may agree.
