Americans are waking up from a distorted reality. Half now believe that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. That's up sharply from last year, when only 36% believed that he had banned weapons.
The numbers, from a Harris Poll conducted earlier this month, showed

Oohhh, I like it! I have been wishing the the Fox Network would pick up Brit Hume for a nightly news program. He could do a lot of good. Many people in this country still don't have cable.
Maybe the answer is to finally arrest George Soros. He has financial interests in every media outlet I've looked up.

George Soros, Media Connections - Bump List
Re previous post: should be 'that the'. Oops.
I would love to see Soros 'frogmarched' to jail for something. Anything. As long as it would stick.
Excellent points, E. I hadn't even come up with that scenario.
I really don't know. I have only read their articles (snips) and such here on FR, but it would seem a capitalist type of publication would lean right.
Although the other side of that is when I watch Neil Cavuto on FOX, and especially the Saturday line-up of his with the "regulars". I have been TOTALLY fooled by some of them when the discussion turns to ACTUAL POLITICS !!!
But why not at least provide the proof that the WMDs did exist, without implying all had been destroyed?
I've seen that too!
Never happen! Their hatred of Bush is more important to them than the safety of their families.
No matter what evidence comes out they will continue crying "Bush Lied, Men Died"
These are the same people who still think Viet Nam was just a "Civil War" and we had no business being there. Nothing will ever convince these moonbats otherwise.
Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened. - Winston Churchill
You all do not realize that
BUSH HAS ESSENTIALLY CONCEDED THAT THERE WERE NO WMDs
by not addressing the allegations that there were none.
Heck, he and has staff have even said that they relied on bad intelligence.
Even if conclusive proof is now found, it does not change this fact. That is why this is not a big story. If WMDs are found, the media will simply say that they were not the WMDs that Bush referred to in deciding to go to war.
WMD Shipments to Syria Described This is an unofficial translation of Document Number ISGQ-2005-00022470, released as part of Project Harmony. It is a memo dated July 13, probably 2003; the author is an Iraqi opposition source located in Syria.
Subject: we have information about the location of Mass Destruction Weapons
On Moharram 10th (Arabic calendar), prior to US/allied invasion to Iraq, fifty (50) Iraqi trucks entered Syria as convoys (or groups), I met some the drivers of those trucks, they got no idea about the content of their trucks.
The loads basically came from some where in Baghdad, Iraqi intelligence were escorting the loads. During their tripe, those truck drivers were stopped and asked frequently by the intelligence officers about whether or not they got any idea about the content of their loads, the divers replied we have no idea," then the officers would say thank you."
Upon their arrival to Deayr Ezoor city/ Syria, the drivers were ordered to get down, elements from Syrian intelligence got into the trucks, they took the trucks to big barracks for downloading.
After that; Iraqi drivers got their trucks back, they got $200 as a reward. The drivers told me that it was their second time to bring such secret shipment; the first shipment was Moharram 1st.
I have a friend in Syria working in Syrian company, the man has ½ of the company, and the other ½ belongs to a Syrian businessman.
This Iraqi person, a former counselor at Iraqi embassies, has strong connections with Iraqi embassy in Syria, he knows all Iraqi intelligence men there, and he has no idea that I am working with the Iraqi opposition in Syria.
I used to visit him daily during that period to listen to the important news. When the trucks arrived to Syria, I visited him, told him Iraqi weapons got inside Syria," he replied who told you." I said I have my own resources," he replied dont tell any one about that because actually it is inside."
Based on this and a number of other reports, it seems likely that some, at least, of Iraq's WMDs were shipped to Syria shortly before the war started in 2003.

I thought it was interesting.
The USAF evaluated the aircraft found. L-29 Delfins converted into drones. No evidence could be found that they were converted into chemical carriers or ever had been converted for that purpose.
Thanks L, I read something similar yesterday.
It's *very interesting*, but the hate-Bush, hate-US Military crowd have had 3+ years of "Bush lied about WMDs" and I'm now thinking that nothing's going to change their empty heads.
The relocation of WMDs to Syria was being reported in real time by Debka.
The reporting of this relocation by Debka was routinely laughed at by many posters here on FR.
Any of that is totally over my head. I do know the heated discussion we saw at that UN presentation was about Blix omitting it though.
Never forget...the enemy within are mental cases. They have a sickness that cannot be cured by ordanary medication. I am not sure that these people can be defeated thru our electorial process.
They are, as we speak, conspiring to make it possible for people to vote who are not citizens of our country. They whine and complain when they actually loose an election, claiming everything from fraud to ballot vagueness to rigged voting machines among other things...all the while finding votes in the graveyards. They are trying to get the electorial college abolished so that the administrative branch of government will always be elected by the vote from 10 or so of the largest cities of the country.....and they have a lot of the federal judges on their side....
We are faced with a hard problem that is going to have to be addressed soon....one way or another.
