At least two or three people shoot.
SEATTLE At least two people have been shot at the Jewish Federation at 2031 Third Ave. in downtown Seattle. One or two people have been taken into custody but it's not known if they are suspects.
One person was reportedly shot in the abdomen and another in the arm. They are being taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Part of Third Avenue and Second Avenue have been closed to traffic. Police are urging people to stay away from the area. It's not known if more suspects are at large but policemen were seen handcuffing one person and others were searching the area.
At least three people were seen emerging from the building, escorted by police. It's not know if they were hostages.
Medics, escorted by police, have been taking other people from the building.
More to come.

My brother-in-law, Saki Hussain (Yes, that's his real name) is a doctor and provides care for many elderly in the southern suburbs of Chicago. He employs my mother and treats family members and friends free of charge.
Thanks.
Your brother-in-law is doing great work.
"Saki Hussein" sounds like a name Ian Fleming might have come up with for a Middle Eastern associate of James Bond! :-)
to paraphrase Sonny and Cher - "The Spin goes on and on and on. The spin goes on".
Isn't that the guy O'Reilly jumped on a couple of years ago? I think Sami may have filed against O'Reilly but don't know how that ended up.
Yes that is same former University of South Florida professor that is video taped screaming "Death to America. Death to Israel" and offering people $500 to kill a Jew.
Investigation is on going....
OK to be fair, that's not what they said or meant. I watched the press conference last night and they were adamant about protecting the Jews in Seattle. I watched it happen live on tv from 20 minutes away and then drove home an hour later. On the radio they were asking people to be very careful and watch for copycat attacks, and also talking about second-generation attacks. KIRO, not a really conservative radio station, had a talk show. Jews were calling in and so were muslims. The talk host said that the police were concerned that this was not a lone shooter and there was more to come - from muslim radicals.
During the press conference protection for Jewish people and places was strongly emphasized, and then, sort of as an afterthought, it was said that of course mosques would be protected also from possible retaliatory attacks.
They took down about 5 square blocks of Belltown almost immediately and handled the rush hour traffic at the borders of the shutdown zone so well it was almost impossible to tell anything was going on.....aside from emergency vehicles screaming into the area from every corner of the city.
Other than hearing the sirens, I didn't realize anything was happening until I tried to walk to a bar downtown to meet some friends for my birthday. The path I take to that bar is directly through the zone.....I ended up having to walk some distance around the cordoned off part of Belltown.
Slightly OT, on your "doing good for mankind" question, depending upon how deeply we delve into the meaning of that question, there might not be many of us that fit the bill. ;)
If you have not read it yet, I would refer you to The Why Cafe by Strelecky. Short book, it asks just three questions: Why are you here? Do you fear death? Are you fulfilled?
Good job Seattle!!! I think I will email them.
Cindy, thanks for posting the official statement from The Royal Court in Saudi Arabia.
I think so also.
I hope the other victims will all recover.
Not to mention that guy was "bipolar". Therefore, he can't be a terrorist. He's just a looney that acted on his own. He's a Muslim? So what?
Beyond breathtaking....we had better wake up or political correctness is going to get us killed.
Thanks for the pings, btw
It should be the only gun which can be sold anyone who fits the terrorist profile:
Considering the importance of this event, the volume of reporting is noticably low IMO.
Hard to find info on radio or TV today.
I have been surprised how low the reporting has been.
