If the link to the poll doesn't show up, here it is: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=1738864&mesg_id=1738864

I think 72% is an underestimation.
To: Paleo Conservative
Hell, it may be a misunderestimation.

I thought the same: 72% is way low. I bet the number is kind of like those Philadelphia precinct voter turnout numbers: 103-105%.

I think there is a major misunderstanding of the results. The DU'ers are probably merely reporting the existence of moderates and conservatives in their families.
To: peggybac
...72% of those responding say they are dealing with severe mental illness in their home. And 28% of them are lying.
To: Paleo Conservative
It is obvious if you troll around over there, I can't handle it in large doses. There is a command level that seem to know what they are doing, and a whole bunch of whacky puppets.

The (currently) 29% are endangering their membership by claiming to not meet standard DU requirements.

Very good, Igor, our little additives in the sushi and latte are beginning to work! (Sounds of fiendish laughter.)
Remmember, the chalice from the palace has the pellet with the poison but the flagon with the dragon holds the brew that is true.

You should see some of the posts at Ifilm or YouTube regarding anything political.

You should check out PJ Comix's DUmmie FUnnies. Last year, they had a thread on DU talking, er, BOASTING, about the psychotic drugs they were taking.
The quote of the thread was, IMO, (I'm not making this up): "Prozac made me hear voices in my head (not the usual ones)."

Families?
I'd like to do a study on how many DU'rs came from single-mommy households.

It explains a lot about DU!

72% of those responding say they are dealing with severe mental illness Only 72%... 38% are either pathological liars or too stupid to understand the question.
To: johnny7
Families? Most of them still live with their parents.

Ah! They think their parents' (more conservative) generation was crazy.

While others find addition, subtraction and percentages to be a challenge.

"A change?"
"Yes, they broke the flagon with the dragon.".
"They broke the flagon with the dragon?"
"Yes."
"Where's the pellet with the poison?"
"In the vessel with the pestle. The chalice from the palace has the brew that is true"
