Ann Coulter just on Cavuto being interviewed.

She wanted to "remind the viewers" that the normal election cycle is for the party in the White House to lose seats. She expects this election to be one where Republicans lose seats. She added "a lot of seats" before Neil moved on to another question.

The source came from high up in the republican party.

You are correct. The president has term limits; why can't the members of Congress?

who stopped the senate immigration bill? Republicans in the House did (so far), they are the only group standing in the way of amnesty. why toss the only group doing what you want?

I believe you are correct. Though immigration might be a weak
link for republicans the democratic choices are ooodles
worse.

The alternative to a republican is not a social democrat but a marxist.

"a very influential Republican (with a committee chairmanship) in the house who said internal party polling indicated the Republicans could easily lose up to 30 seats."

"Well, I think that's bulls#@t!!!"

Conyers is the least of the worries. I'm worried about whathisname from Harlem being in charge of Ways & Means.

How's that "conservative" (GOP's election label for him) been working out?

A lot better than if Gore or Kerry had been elected, thanks.

My own amateur prediction is that at most only a few seats will be lost. The Republicans will retain control of both Houses.

Democrats will be despair. Remember, we were supposed to lose seats in 2004. And Bush was supposed to lose.

Nope. Not a dime's worth of difference between the two parties.

Man, that’s really profound. What at deep thinker you are.

Totally correct:

#1 Historically the in-power party loses a significant number of seats in the 6th year of a presidency.

#2. Dems and the media have kept the focus on Bush and have labeled him a failure in every way.

#3. The war will have dragged on for 3+ years with no clear cut victory. There will be no signing of surrender documents on the USS Missouri in this war.

#4. The level of hate for Bush is unprecedented. Not logical, not deserved, but unprecedented.

#5. We have few candidates capable of picking up seats in either Senate or House. Nelson was vulnerable, but with KH, he will be reelected 65-32. It's that bad here in Florida.

As a result, we will likely lose House, possible Senate but I don't think so.

As a further result, the radical Dems in House will move to impeach President Bush for "War Crimes" and other such nonsense, and have a very good chance of succeeding. As opposed to Clinton Impeachment where the great unwashed were told it was all about nothing, the broadcast media will be in bed with the Dems in order to try to get a payoff of putting additional restrictions on direct satellite broadcasting, thereby preserving the dinosaur terrestrial broadcast media's profits.

As a result, the following will happen.

President and VP will likely be impeached, but probably not removed from office.

Bills will be passed putting severe restrictions on Conservative Internet resources such as FR.

Program such as Rush and Hanity will be severely restricted under the implementation of a new so-called "Fairness Doctrine."

Slavery reparations have at least a 50/50 chance of becoming law, with riots threatened if the payoffs are not made.

Taxes will become much more oppressive, with any thought of tax reform forever doomed as the unwashed taught that somehow the "Fair Tax isn't fair."

Seem far-fetched? Give me odds and I'll put money down!

You've got to be kidding. No way we let the commie liberals take over. Your solution is idiotic to say the least. If the dems get back in power we may not have a country to take back.

Rush said that Robert Novak will put the loss of 30 seats in his column based on a conversation with a Republican Chairman of a unnamed committee. Rush said "beware" that this news is coming and the MSM will bounce on it.

Rush was only repeating, not stating this as fact.

IMO it will make things even worse because right now the President is doing a lot more the Dems favor than a lot of Conservative Republicans favor, ergo he will have an easier time getting a lot of his bills passed and will veto those he doesn't approve.
