War protester Cindy Sheehan has purchased a 5-acre plot in Crawford with some of the insurance money she received after her son was killed in Iraq.
The group she helps lead, Gold Star Families for Peace, says on its Web site that it will return next month to protest the war in Iraq in the small town near Waco where President Bush has a ranch. Like last year, Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, will again demand to meet with the president.
"We decided to buy property in Crawford to use until George's resignation or impeachment, which we all hope is soon for the sake of the world," Sheehan said in a newsletter set to be sent to supporters Thursday. "I can't think of a better way to use Casey's insurance money than for peace, and I am sure that Casey approves."
Her anti-war gathering in Crawford is scheduled for Aug. 16 through Sept. 2. But Bush is scheduled to be at his ranch mainly during the first two weeks of August.
Sheehan, from California, reinvigorated the anti-war movement last summer with her peace vigil, which started in ditches off the road to Bush's ranch. As it grew, the group also set up its protests on a private, 1-acre lot closer to the ranch.

I doubt it. It`s not about Casey, it never was. It`s about her. Let`s not forget, when her son was killed she met with Bush, shook his hand, said nothing, was nothing like she is now. Then the left moved in and got her addicted and drunk on all the attention, used her, and now like Whitney Houston with an endlessly supply of crack, she can`t or doesn`t want to stop. If this war ended tomorrow and there was complete 1000% peace in the middle east, or Islam became sane (same thing), she would be protesting something else. Probably the right to kill babies.

...but what I heard this morning on FOX, Cindy was deceptive...SURPRISE!...and the woman who sold the property (for 50K) was under the impression she was selling to some poor bloke from the Katrina catastrophe and wanted to build a house.
Turns out, the person who bought the property was lying, and turned around and sold it to Cindy.

Do you know if the land is inside the city limits of Crawford or is it outside?..... If it's inside then the City Gov. can control some of the usage assuming that they may have zoning laws, which I suspect maybe minimal at best.
She's evil, no question about it.
The land is in the country.. Crawford is a very small little town..I don't know if it would be considered Crawford or County land..but the taxes would have to be paid to Crawford..
