CRAWFORD, Texas
War protester Cindy Sheehan has purchased a 5-acre plot in Crawford with some of the insurance money she received after her son was killed in Iraq.
The group she helps lead, Gold Star Families for Peace, says on its Web site that it will return next month to protest the war in Iraq in the small town near Waco where President Bush has a ranch. Like last year, Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, will again demand to meet with the president.
"We decided to buy property in Crawford to use until George's resignation or impeachment, which we all hope is soon for the sake of the world," Sheehan said in a newsletter set to be sent to supporters Thursday. "I can't think of a better way to use Casey's insurance money than for peace, and I am sure that Casey approves."
Her anti-war gathering in Crawford is scheduled for Aug. 16 through Sept. 2. But Bush is scheduled to be at his ranch mainly during the first two weeks of August.
Sheehan, from California, reinvigorated the anti-war movement last summer with her peace vigil, which started in ditches off the road to Bush's ranch. As it grew, the group also set up its protests on a private, 1-acre lot closer to the ranch.

I can see it now.
GWB cleaning up around the yard after a long day, the sun is setting, and Gwb pauses seemingly to watch the beautiful red/orange hues being painted upon the sky. Then he grabs hold of his shovel and quickly flings the last of the cow patties up and over the fence.

I believe SGLI is now up to $400,000. And, she may have not have gotten all of it, Casey's father may have been a beneficiary. So, if the purchase is final, wouldn't it be a matter of public record & you could find out exactly how much this little piece of bottom land cost this looney-tune?

When Casey died SGLI was $250,000 if he took the full amount....now it's $400,000 and mandatory.........when they sign these papers they are advised to divide the amount equally to the parents(at least that is what my hubby does) but they are not obligated to do that.......

She truly is making money on her dead son's body and against his views on the war.
She owed all kinds of money from taxes and was in trouble from what I read, but all of a sudden she's making good bucks and buying land with money earned as an extreme left wing activist.
Her son is truly spinning in his grave over her actions.
We have to wonder how many terrorist she inspired to keep fighting and how many soldiers she in effect has gotten injured or killed with her intervention.

Some possibilites for Sheehag's property: (1) A new mosque, (2) Al Qu'aida training facility, (3) George Soros University. I'm hoping for the first positive use of the new Kelo Decision. Have the Town of Crawford seize the property by eminent domain and put in something useful like a Denny's.
