He apparently does not have a self esteem problem. But he does have a competency problem.

I've got to get people to realize that the government is full of it. Republicans and Democrats want to argue over stuff that's not important, like gay marriage or the war in Iraq or illegal immigration. They push those issues because they play well on TV and because they deceive people.

War, illegal immigration, and culture aren't important issues? It sounds like Mr. Barkely is the one that is full of it.

For some reason I thought I heard years ago that he was a Republican. But I guess not. Well... I don't know what he's going to be good for. If the war in Iraq and illegal immigration don't matter, I can't imagine what does.

If I'm not mistaken, Barkley is one of the biggest racists around. That might not play well in AL, even counting for his popularity from playing at Auburn.

Barkley has been a Republican and a friend of Rush Limbaugh for years.

If he is now calling himself a Democrat, it must mean that he has spent all his money, and now needs to get a job.

Would be fun to watch.

He'd put his foot in his mouth at every campaign stop.

Barkley use to hang around with Rush, and Mr.Limbaugh had indicated that Barkley was a conservative. Imagine my surprise when I saw Barkley at a North Carolina rally for the breck girl. From Rush Limbaugh to the slip-and-fall, ambulance chasing, leftist RAT and premier phony, john edwards. That's like supporting Bill Buckley on one day and licking stalins feet on another. I think this Barkley guy is strange, as bizarre politically as he was on the basketball court.

From Wikepe, no Wikoepoe, no Wikepedi, ah hell, it's that online encyclopedia:

"During an altercation in a bar in 1997, Barkley threw 20-year-old Jorge Lugo through a plate-glass window. When interviewed by police Barkley reportedly quipped "I regret we weren't on a higher floor.""

Great stuff!

I thought he was a republican. Who got to him? I remember a story about his mother asking him why he supported republicans. Didn't he know that republicans were rich people? I understood he told his mama, "Mom, I AM rich. If he runs as a RAT, I won't be voting for him, even if he is from Auburn.
