The correspondant on Fox is reporting on an important battle going on in Lebanon. He said Hizbellah seems to be deciding to make a stand near a small town and a "pitched, important battle" is going on right now. They are showing pictures of the war overhead.
>The Hez seem better disciplined than the typical Arab fighter, and the Iranians and Syrians have reportedly been supplying them with high quality military equipment: night vision goggles, body armor and etc. Also the IDF will not be able to use some of their traditional strengths such a maneuver and mobility. They'll have to plow right into the fortified positions rather than bypass them.
>It could be a tough and costly fight
Body armor doesn't help too much against 155mm HE or 500 lbs bombs. Simply keeps the Woggie peices together to make burial easier for the IDF GRU units.
I've seen that ad so many times I'm sick of it, and I still don't know what the product does. Cure a headache? Stop a receding hairline (too late for me)? Eliminate acne?
I'm certainly not buying any.
This ought to be the US policy on terrorists as well. We have much to learn from the Israelis concerning how to deal with IslamoNazi scum. Go, IDF!
No pity.
No mercy.
No prisoners.
Send 'em all to Hell.
Hezbollah admitted in a statement Sunday that IDF troops had taken over the village, but called the move a defeat for Israel.
The Democrats always label their election defeats as "victories". Come to think of it, Baghdad Bob was known for describing Iraqi defeats as great victories. Could Baghdad Bob be a Democrat too?
The first village IDF took was not fully pacified even though they occupied it. They begin to soften up the next one - the BIGGIE stronghold - when, according to the reporter, they were having to fight a rear guard action against Hez who were coming out of hiding and attacking their flank. So they were battling to maintain control of the first village while beginning to move on the stronghold.
Were violins playing in the background?sarc
Too bad so much valuable real estate has to get destroyed to get these thugs out of there. There must be a more efficient way to exterminate them.
I don't understand. I can't wait 'til Shep Smith comes on and explains all this to me.
Neutron bomb comes to mind....
"The Palistinians would turn South Lebanon into a garbage dump."Very true. Some may consider me a racist, but i believe that's all they're capable of.What do the Pali's bring besides death and destruction?
No it's not. No Israeli land is shown, that's why it isn't there.
Brave like tiger.
Smart like tree.
Then again, if the IDF did a good job of isolating the battlefield, they may not have left them any other choice.
Good grief. IT is a lonely village and Israel warned innocents to get the heck out of dodge. I WILL NOT change the channel from Fox.
It is increasingly obvious why Islamists and Muslims are of like mind. To be so, you have to completely suspend common sense.
I believe a trained army supported by airpower can beat this bunch of rag tag thugs and guerillas. I don't mean to downplay their courage--after all it's re-inforced by martyr theology which makes them think they'r invincible.
But the Israelis are disciplined, trained, technologically advanced--and they also have some psychological re-inforcement about defending their homes and avenging their dead.
If the Israelis can't win this one, we all need to start digging foxholes and rocket shelters.
Map must have come from the UN.
Theyve already warned the citizenry. Why dont they carpet bomb to prepare the field for battle? They have to have bigger more wicked bombs in their arsenal do they not??
lol,, i HATE THAT ADD,,,,,,so does my whole family.....hehehehe...
