That's not actually what we were talking about.
We were discussing if the Iranian nuclear facilities should be bombed or skipped in any attack on Iran.

Any time a poster starts out with "I hate to have to say this" I pretty much know he doesn't.....
NOW....... it looks to me like in your post that you said that our mission in Iraq is "a mess."
Can you clarify that for me before I proceed? Just in case you miscommunicated what you actually meant when you said, "I really think this will turn into a real mess" after you said it would turn into the same situation we are in in Iraq......
Don't want to make any assumptions that a good freeper is on this board dissing our troops and their mission in Iraq.

btw, our mission in Iraq is successful..........not 'a real mess.'
Just in case my position wasn't clear in my last post.
And I'm betting that Israel isn't going to be in 'a real mess' either.

I appreciate your dedication to OPSEC, but if it's posted from the MSM like FOX it's obviously not classified, nor is it a
loose lips situation.
For a great example of THAT, see what Geraldo did in laying out a SAND TABLE for his viewers during the first part of the war in Iraq and telling the world exactly where they were and where they were going (LIVE) and what the mission was. He almost got his A$$ kicked on tv and also almost got kicked out of the country. ~Sigh~ Almost doesn't count. Both shoulda happened.
Another example would be if YOU get a phone call from a buddy in the service who is "on the move" maybe into combat and you post that info on FR.
It's like the SEC, don't post "insider" info that nobody else has and which could harm to come to the troops. See?

Actually very little Iranian oil comes to the USA. China and Russia will be badly hurt, that is why this a good plan!!!

I totally support Israel in this. I'm a very religious Christian (CofC), however, I believe the prophesies that you quote already happened--A LONG time ago. I support Israel simply for the reason that they are our friends, and a democratic government with similar values to ours.
Also, as I review the verses that you quote in context, I don't see where you're coming up with some of your summaries.
Daniel 9:27 - says one week, not seven years. (It looks like this happened around 77 A.D.), says nothing about the temple.
Matthew 24:15 - once again...this happened! When Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman Army (also known as the "Abomination of Desolation")...somewhere around 77 A.D. They are referred as an Abomination as they "brought their ensigns (images) into the temple and placed them over against the eastern gate, and sacrificed to them there. (Josephus, War, b. vi, chap. 6).
Zechariah 12:10 - Happened when the church was first established. Read the first couple chapters of Acts.
I don't really want to get into a religious argument here, but it seems every time any thing happens in that part of the world, all of these verses are carelessly thrown around, and then later retracted. During the cold war, parts of Daniel was applied to the USSR, now it's applied to Iran and Syria. I suspect that in 20 years, if Christ hasn't come back, the prophesies which already occurred will be applied to some other conflict.
Anyhow, just another view point from a conservative Christian (I know there are many here with the same view point, I just don't see many comments on that side of the prophecy argument). I support Israel as they are a democracy.

Iran has refineries, just not many. Preventing refined gasoline from coming into Iran should not pose a major problem.
To: JLAGRAYFOX
That is true. We do not get any Iranian oil. My two cents: I vote yes on the plan.
