An Israeli soldier maneuvers an armored personnel carrier at their position along the Israeli Lebanese border. Israel was amassing thousands more reservists on the Lebanese border to stage ground incursions aimed at destroying Hezbollah positions, warning it would not rule out a full-scale invasion despite mounting calls for a ceasefire.

looks like the Iranians are thinking long term and that hizbullah will remain largely intact after this fight, i guess don't expect anything from them during this round. sounds a lot different than the rhetoric the other day about "the great news for the Muslim people"

The Iranians have a new line just about every day.
They have threatened to "wipe Israel off the map", to "hand out a terrifying fate" if Israel disarms Hezbollah, to "inflict crushing losses" on Israel if they strike Syria, and from your post, to "never be brought into the Lebanon war from the military standpoint".
I'm expecting a "Great Mother of all Missile Barrages" statement out of Tehran at any moment.
In fact, it's hard to type this, I'm shaking so hard.

I too remember the job the embeds did, for the most part it helped reporters bond with the military in ways they never did before.
