Guess we folks at NewsBusters and at our parent organization, Media Research Center, can go home. Our work is done. Not only is the media not controlled by liberals, it's actually . . . dominated by the right wing. For that matter, it has been for decades! If only we had known, we could have saved ourselves all this trouble.
How did I learn this? From Arshad Hasan, of Democracy for America, the group Howard Dean founded at the end of his candidacy, and that has as its stated goal "to rebuild the Democratic Party." Dean's brother Jim serves at its chair.
Arshad was nice enough to send me an email this morning [OK, I signed up for their list], informing me of the exciting news that DFA is working "to take back our media" and that to do so will be conducting online DFA Night School sessions to cover the following subjects:
July 25: Working the Mainstream Media
August 1: Leveraging Blogs and Online Media
August 8: Sustaining your Media Presence
Sounds like good stuff. I might have to register. In the meantime, it's comforting to know that the broadcast networks, the NY Times, WaPo, Boston Globe, LA Times, Time, Newsweek, AP, Reuters, NPR, etc. ad nauseum were just products of my fevered right-wing imagination. All this time, we've really been in control! Who knew?
Democracy for America/NewsBusters ping to Today show list.
Thanks for posting.
Dean needs to get a life....
Is Dean on drugs? I just love it when he opens his mouth because it's another 100 votes for Republicans.
Glad you enjoyed it. I mean, really, how do these people keep a straight face when writing stuff like this? And what does it say about their honesty on other issues when they blatantly lie about this one.
It's all a matter of perspective. When you are so far left that the NY Times looks Conservative, well then...you are so far left.
Delusional Dean strikes again.
I hope Dr. Dean never leaves the chairman's job at the DNC.
I must say, I find him very entertaining!
And in sports..the New Orleans Saints will open camp soon..trying for their record setting 20th straight Super Bowl win..developing..
Gosh Howard..........What color is the sky in YOUR world?
Dean is quite the D*uchebag, is he not?
Dean infuriates those of us who have different points of view (Ours being true)--I assume he is convinced we are ignorant or something--dumb? I don't know but if he's trying to increase the dim party, he's not going to do it by constantly calling us names such liars (buy, the shoe fits him on this one), etc. He's so screwed up, confused, wrong and worst of all--boring.
If you spend any time over at DU, as Dean's group apparently does, it is common knowledge that the media is all part of the "right wing conspiracy" because they are corporations. And we all know that corporations are run by evil conservatives.
These libs just say things, fully aware that the facts prove otherwise.
How many polls of the media have we seen, showing that they vote democrat in a ratio of about 90:10? Same with college professors. Why doesn't anyone challenge Dean with these statistics? Because they side with him, that's why? Asked and answered.
We have laws against media outlet / propaganda ownership by hostile furriners or DRPCB's
(Dirty Rotten Pinko Commie Bedwetters)
Well, Kim Jung Il did announce thathe did made 7 holes-in-one the first time he ever played golf. Guess he and Howard attended the same school of accuracy-in-reporting.
Excuse me???? JAMES Dean???? Oh Puleeze.... that is almost funny...
Semper Gag
