Voters trickling in and out of Holy Trinity Church on East Ponce de Leon Avenue, walking distance from Decaturs downtown square, said U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinneys run-in with Capitol police prompted them to vote against her.
Anne Dishman, 37, a stay-at-home mom, voted for McKinneys opponent in the Democratic primary, Hank Johnson.
I dont know a lot about him, but it is important that Cynthia is not voted back into office, she said.
Dishman, referring to the congresswomans infamous tussle a few months ago, said, Both parties should have said I am sorry and moved on. But, she made a big deal out of it.
Dishman said she voted for Cathy Cox in the Democratic gubernatorial primary.
I very familiar with her work, very impressed with her track record, she said.
Lance Blair, a 36-year-old Democrat and audio engineer said one thing is clear in his mind: McKinney needs to go.
Right or wrong, Washington has tuned McKinney out, he said. I understand her anger and frustrations, but there is a limit. I dont appreciate politicians of either party being blustery.
I hope it works.
It works for me.
This should be interesting.
Sure, now but when you need some comic relief where you gonna go? 8->
There are a lot of stupid people in America and they need to be represented too.
Who are we going to laugh at if McKinney goes? Answer: all the rest of them.
Yes, playing the Diebold Card.
"Lance"? What a Mary. I'd bet he drives a Volkswagon Beatle with one of those gay flowers on the dashboard and hangs out at Starbucks reading poetry.
I noticed that for the first few days after she hit the policeman, she was claiming his request for her identification was racially motivated (I think Danny Glover appeared with her when she made that claim) and then that whine disappeared from the radar. What happened to that?
All this tells us is that the AJC has turned against McKinney. Because we all know you can get "man in the street" interviews to support any position you want, if you keep doing them and cherrypick which ones you publish.
But that datum is interesting, too.
McKinney has multiple reports on her re-election website claiming the Diebold machines are changing votes for her opponent.
This should be interesting.
I hope she takes her followers and rallies in Mexico City.
Interesting since her campaign was making noises this morning that people were voting for her and the machines were registering for her opponent and she would have to protest the election..
I'm hoping she goes down the same sewer pipe with Murtha...but they'll have to go down sequentially due to their (politically correct term) "circumferences", otherwise a clog of epic proiportions would ensue.
""Lance"? What a Mary"
My brother's name is Lance. He rides a Harley and is a sports nut. I don't think he has ever stepped into a Starbucks. ;)
Oh! De white debbil, he strike again.
d.o.l.
Criminal Number 18F
If she loses, it will either be the fault of the Carl Rove weather machine, the diebold machine...or the Joooooos.
Well....hopefully he's not a 36 year old audio engineer from Atlanta voting in a demorat primary.
"Well....hopefully he's not a 36 year old audio engineer from Atlanta voting in a demorat primary."
No. He's hard core Republican. His daughter turned 18 on November 2, 2004 and spent her birthday working the polls and of course, voted. We all thought his 10 yos was going to develop an ulcer waiting for the results.
Even if it was true, who is going to believe the Girl Who Cried Wolf?
Breaking USA Today headline...
Isn't it interesting that the Democrats have spend countless decades to learn all forms of vote fraud and schemes to beat the hell out of the system. When they lose, they are the first to cry foul!
