I've got to tell all of you something very funny. I called Mr. LadyX a bit ago and we talked for some time. He told me that Maggie used to say all the time, "We can't afford it", when he wanted to buy something. That was her stock answer about purchases. Well, in preparations for his moving and going through her things, they began to find money stashed everywhere. Lots of money. LOL.

Maggie used to tell me how worried she was about Bernie's being able to manage finances (now you did say I could tell this Bernie). Poor baby, he thought he was left destitute and couldn't afford to move. Well, he can afford to move now. They will be checking under mattresses and in coat pockets for a long time. They will go through every paper in every box. That move is going to take some time. Haha. I love it. Maggie still taking care of her Bear.

Then this morning she had me call him just as he was pulling into his daughter's driveway, dreading that he had to look for an apartment. I hope that he feels a little better about it now. BTW, Morgan answered the phone and I got to say hi to her. Well, LadyX is still in control. But of course, when I hung up I had myself another good cry.

Maggie is still making me smile.I fear the tears may come on suddenly for a long time to come, Nan..Looks like Maggie made sure they went through her treasures carefully..no dumping all those saved papers! Found money is always a nice surprise! Prayers for Bernie and the family that all goes smoothly with the move.

Oh...Nan and bernie. How like our sweet maggie to still be "in charge" from afar. Bernie, thanks for letting Nan share that touching story with us. Good luck with your apartment search. I'm sure with Maggie's "hand in it", you'll find the perfect place!

Now Maggie kinda reminds me of my grandma, it was the same with her

After she died, my mom and aunts and uncles found money (mostly coin change) everywhere and in huge glass bottles.

I think my grandma and Maggie are still looking after thier families.
