Confessions of a Former Palestinian Supporter
Freeper Bokababe | 7/16/06 | Bokababe

"I had mixed feelings about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for a long time. While I had always admired brave little Israel -- a sort of David against the Goliath Arab-Muslim world surrounding it -- I had also met some Palestinians (some of them, Christians) with horror stories about what happened to them at the hands of Israelis some years ago. Then one day, I met an Armenian woman from Lebanon who sort of set me straight.

This Lebanese Christian woman told me that she too had sympathized with the Palestinians (as had many Lebanese) -- until they destroyed her country. Lebanon had been the Switzerland of the Middle East -- beautiful, prosperous and comfortably multi-religious -- until they took in the Palestinians when none of the other Muslim Arab countries would. But the Palestinians used their new home in Lebanon as nothing more than "a base to launch attacks on Israel" and to eventually start a civil war between Muslims and Christians in Lebanon. She thinks that this was part of the ME Muslim plan -- and this is why Palestinians came to a mixed Christian/Muslim country and not to another purely Muslim country like Jordan (which was actually the "settlement land/country" in return for the founding of Israel.) It was part the Muslim plan to get Lebanese Christians to hate Israel as much as Muslims hated Israel, so that eventually all Christians and the Western World might hate Israel, too. (Much like hating the Christian Serbs for what they did to Muslims in Yugoslavia, at the same time when we in the US are fighting radical Islamic terrorists who perpetrated 9/11. Divide us against ourselves and we spend our energy fighting each other, instead of fighting our real enemy -- militant Islam.)

She then asked me if I ever intended to visit The Holy Land and I said that I did. The she wondered WHO I would rather ask for permission to visit The Lord's Birthplace-- the Israeli government? Or some Muslim sharia government? Because those were the only choices. If Israel gets condemned every time it defends itself, then Israel cannot survive and Muslim fanatics will win. The Muslim Palestinian fanatics are not going to stop until they are either stopped by Israel and by the rest of us who stand up to them -- or until they totally destroy Israel. If Israel gets destroyed, we'll be wearing burkah's to visit the Sea of Galilee and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (unless the Muslims decide to destroy that, too!) And with the Muslim hatred of all things Jewish being so great, most remnants of Old Testament (Jewish)history would likely be destroyed in the process too if it is considered "unessential to Islam".

There is no peaceful co-existence with Islam (Bosnian Muslim president Izetbegovic said as much) -- either you fight them with all you've got -- or you surrender and get annihilated. Those are the only choices for Israel and those are the only choices for all of us. Our ancestors were not wrong or "backward" when they shut the gates of Europe to Muslims centuries ago!

I personally think that Bush not condemning Israel and saying that "Israel has a right to defend itself and we will not determine her foreign policy" is the most gutsy thing that he has said or done in years! Now, if he'd only say the same thing to the Serbs re Kosovo, and to Greeks re Cyprus, the US and the world be back on the right track!"

this is why Palestinians came to a mixed Christian/Muslim country and not to another purely Muslim country like Jordan

A minor nit to pick here.

The Jordanians kicked the 'palis' out in 1972 after an uprising during which they tried to assassinate the King of Jordan. He was understandably pissed and turned the Jordanian Army loose on them. Hundreds and quite possibly thousands of 'palis' were killed.

To this day they refer to the event as Black September. The name was taken by the group which murdered the Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics.

The Jordanian government wouldn't let the 'palis' inside their borders if old mad mo' himself appeared and demanded it.

Other than that; not bad. Not bad at all.

You aren't alone. I used to be an automatic Israel basher but after so many years it just gets too hard to ignore the facts.

I do feel pity for the Palestinians. If it weren't for the meddling of other arab nations I think there would have been relative peace a long time ago.

Julia Gorin, who also understands the parallels between the Serbs right to self-defense and Israel's right to self-defense against militant Islam, published another one of my letter's on her blog today. I was commenting on why the Greek government had criticized Israel's actions: http://republicanriot.com

You are right, Lurker.

But the Arab Muslim world has left the Palestinians nowhere to go -- other than to Israel, or to the only mixed Chrsitian/Muslim country in the neighborhood -- Lebanon. And they take over and destroy where ever they call home. I don't think that this is a coincidence.

The is no such thing as "a Palestinian", but that artificial creation worked so well that it also spawned the idea of "Bosniak" (Bosnian Muslim) and "Kosovar" (Kosovo Albanian), neither of which are real either. Neither of those false identities ever existed before there was a war "by Muslims for territory".

You are 100 per cent correct that everyone of all groups must realize it is the Muslims against all of us. I don't know why it is difficult for people to grasp this, by both word and deed the Jihadists make it plain over and over again.

Lebanon used to be 85% Christian, with a Christian government.

What happened?

When only one "previous" supporter of the fictional "palestine" sees the light at a time, the process will take forever.

The arguments are clear, uncomplicated and plain for all to either see or reject in this article. Those who reject them, in my view, are as much an enemy as the 'militant' muslims and their silent supporters... all billion of them.

I was lucky and studied islam long before it removed the mask. I have considered them my enemy for 40 years now, and welcome others to read, to study, to listen to history. The strongest persuasions are all there. They have been there all along...

Bears repeating. It has been obvious to me for decades. In their own words:

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism."
PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein, March 31, 1977

Actiually, all three bogus "identities" were invented by the Nazi muslim Hajj Amin al-Husseini during the WWII era!!!

All the Dhimmwit "mainline" protestant mis-leaders and other liberal "Palestinian", "Bosniak", and "Kosovar" fanciers are actually supporting Nazis!!!!

Everybody has a wish list for President Bush. " Now, if he'd only say the same thing to the Serbs re Kosovo, and to Greeks re Cyprus, the US and the world be back on the right track!"

He's done so much, why can't he do everything?
