I hate to have to watch CNN, but when something is breaking overseas, they leave FOX in the dust.

Thanks infominer, that seems to repeat what the article at the link Ray66 provided me says. I still appreciate that you took the time to post it however.

I've always liked him too. Here's some bio info:

2 Dec 1924 Alexander Haig born.
1964 Assistant to Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara.
1969 Assistant to Henry Kissinger.
1971 Deputy Assistant to Richard M. Nixon for National Security Affairs.
1974 Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, until 1979. 22 Jan 1981 Secretary of State under Ronald Reagan.
30 Mar 1981 During the confusion after Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinckley, Haig asserts at the White House, "I'm in control here" -- forgetting about the Constitutional line of succession. This error in judgement basically kills his career.
5 Jul 1982 Resigns as Secretary of State.

Speaking of irritating reporters in dangerous places . . . where's Geraldo? Shouldn't he be waving a red flag on top of a high building near one of the borders involved? LOL!

Depends on who else is at the G8. If Putin's there and Ho it might be nice to have some good ole Texan face-to-face with them about what needs to be done.

Fox who? Where has Fox News been? CNN is running almost wall-to-wall coverage of the Middle East and Fox is running everything but. I am so disappointed!

Iran’s Ahmadinejad is not Unhinged May 25th, 2006 The world is captivated by the sudden rise of a relatively unknown to the presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for his torrent of outrageous statements and claims. He has, thus, in a short time acquired great many appellations. He is viewed as zealot, fascist, fanatic, anti-Semitic, lunatic and more. One prominent Western journalist called him “unhinged.”

I might add, Ahmadinejad is not long for this world.

His continuous threats against Israel tell me he is a man calling out for his own destruction.

If Syria and Iran come openly into conflict with the U.S. then the gloves come off. It will be the end for both of their regimes.
