Yesterday was Day 10 of Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink's Troops Home Fast. A few members of the D.C. Chapter ventured out to see how they're doing.
Cindy Sheehan is jet-setting in Europe this week, fasting on vanilla ice, smoothies and coffee while pinkos Medea Benjamin, Gael Murphy and Nancy Mancias are carrying on the fast in D.C.
Code Pink and the Out of Iraq Caucus held a joint press conference on the Cannon House Office Building with the Capitol Dome as a background. Democrats Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee, Dennis Kucinich, Cynthia McKinney and Maxine Waters endorsed Code Pink and pledged to join the fast if only for a day.
Woolsey said that she had fasted the day before and complained how hard it was because she had gone to several breakfasts and lunches that day.

Other media attending were Cox Broadcasting, Fox News Radio and Truthout, plus some still photographers.
It was a typical moonbat event, but it was disturbing that Code Pink was being given a platform by these Democrats. I handed out a statement to the media and legislatives aides who were themselves handing out statements. One of them was so disturbed about what I put in the statement that he called me during the press conference to complain about it!
After we spoke, he said he wanted to set up a meeting to talk about it at length. Here's the text of the statement:
(Washington) The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com, a grassroots conservative organization comprised of veterans, military families and other patriotic Americans today denounced the Congressional Out of Iraq Caucus for allying itself with Code Pink, a known supporter of the terrorists in Iraq.
The leaders of Code Pink are Marxist revolutionaries who are engaged in a national and international campaign to bring about the defeat of the United States in the war on terror.
As part of their campaign, Code Pink has supported the killing of Americans, Iraqis, coalition forces and civilians with their endorsement of armed resistance by the so-called insurgency in Iraq. (www.worldtribunal.org)
Code Pink delivered over $600,000 in cash and aid to what they called “the other side” in Fallujah a month after the city was liberated from al Qaeda in Iraq.
Code Pink has been waging psychological warfare on our wounded soldiers and their families with a weekly demonstration at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. At that demonstration, Code Pink has stood at the main gate to the hospital and called American soldiers murderers and war criminals while holding signs taunting them with messages that said, “Enlist here and die for Halliburton” and “Maimed for a lie.”
Kristinn Taylor, spokesman for the D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com and a military family member, issued the following statement:
“The members of the Out of Iraq Caucus are betraying their oath of office and stabbing our troops in the back by supporting Code Pink. It is outrageous that in a time of war members of Congress would side with those who support the enemy. God help this country when treason dares shout its name on the steps of the Capitol.”
The L.A. told me that the Congresswoman he works for didn't agree with everything Code Pink does, but does agree with them on the war and pulling the troops out.
Medea came over to me and said, "You're everywhere!" as she extended her hand for me to shake. I told her I wouldn't shake hands with her and she walked away without speaking to the reporter I was standing with. I guess she figured she wouldn't be able to b.s. him with me standing there.
Trueblackman joined me at the press conference to document what was said. He took some video clips that hopefully will be available soon.
In her remarks, Cynthia McKinney condemned our troops in Iraq for being rapists and cold blooded murderers. Woolsey promised to use any and all means to end the war.
After the press conference I confronted Ann Wright, former diplomat and a retired Army colonel, on why she, a former officer, is working with a group that has endorsed armed resistance against the Iraqi government and our troops. She forcibly denied that Code Pink endorsed the resistance. I told her she was wrong and pointed her to the World Tribunal On Iraq. She sought to evade responsibility by stating she was not an official with Code Pink and that I should speak to them about it. Medea called her away before I could enlighten her further about the company she's keeping.
Later that day, I took a stroll through Lafayette Park to see how the moonbats were doing on their permanent fast. There only seven of them. They had sought refuge from the stifling heat and humidity under a shade tree near the Andrew Jackson statue. No one was giving them any attention. They looked bored. So was I, so I kept moving without speaking to them.
Hours later, while grocery shopping in suburban Maryland, I was shocked to see pinko Mari Blome buying groceries wearing Code Pink clothing and a "Day 10" sticker denoting how long she had been fasting.
She wouldn't be cheating would she? She wasn't buying much, just Eggo waffles, grapes, a Fleet Enema and a few other things. Perhaps she was going to a party.

The Bible says to fast without complaining. Woolsey is practicing "Anti-Christ" Fasting. which is no supprise.

When the announcement first came out that Sheehan was going to fast, it was going to be only "water and tea until Bush brings the soldiers back." I knew that wouldn't last long.

You write a wonderful story. Those of us who have seen these folks can picture every event!
I seem to remember that it was Lynn Woolsey's office that gave Inauguration Day tickets to Code Pinkos and they used them to disrupt President Bush's Address.
