I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in 'Who's Who in America'... I answered questions using the names of Rove, Harlow and my primary source... I considered his wife's role in initiating Wilson's mission, later confirmed by the Senate Intelligence Committee, to be a previously undisclosed part of an important news story. I reported it on that basis.

Harlow isn't the primary source. Note he says Harlow, Rove AND the primary source, a separate guy. Wilson is the primary source.
Exactly the Dems will spin it as Harlow but Harlow only confirmed what Novak read. If Wilson believes it is a crime then HE should serve time.
"Harlow" is old news. After Novak talked to "primary source" and Rove he called the CIA to confirm.

Answer: She wasn't one of their operatives. Her moderately nom de plume comic book stuff occurred in the EU well before the twins.
She had been an out-in-the-open desk jockey at Langley for years before Novak opined who she was (see Andrea Mitchell's mega-blunder). Wilson had even listed her on his "Who's Who" entry.
The only question is who alerted Novak to the fact hat Wilson's wife nrokered the deal, so to speak. I think there was no one person. I think it was general DC gossip that his wife was in The Company. Wilson said the CIA sent him to check it out. Ergo, Novak deduced that his wife might have been involved, checked it with Rove, called the Agency for comment, and that's all she wrote. What a waste this whole thing has been.

If I read this correctly, the "primary source" is whoever told Novak that Wilson was sent because of his wife who worked at the CIA. Novak then found her name in Wilson's Who's Who entry. He had subsequent conversations with Rove and Harlow. So there is still a source but apparently no one committed a crime.
Didn't we use the same source.....???
If Castro is dead on top of this Plame thing, I'll start drinking heavily that minute in celebration. Hell, I should run over to Vegas with this kind of luck :)
