Great to meet you yesterday!
We have been demonstrating in New York City since 2000. Started with Hillary. The pace picked up with three big demonstrations over the disputed election results later that year, and we have done many, many other, smaller ones.
The mother of all was March 2003, a few days after the start of the war, where we went on and on for blocks, down Broadway. Recently, three NYC Secure Our Borders rallies, organized by NYICE, were on the forum.
I'll put you on the Chapter-plus-others ping list if you like, so you won't miss any more.

I was there as well. I posted my phone-cam pics using Image Shack. They append a little logo to the bottom, but its free.

The rabbi was on Neil Cavuto, FOX News, about 4:50 EDT. He was leaving directly from there for the rally. Neil was his liberal self. The rabbi held his own, not knowing how much time he has spent on national TV, he did well.
Thanks to you all for being there and continuing to keep the NYSlimes in the news.

Great job, everyone, fantastic reports and pictures. This is an historic FReep that will live in cyberspace a long time. Fightingtheleft.com did a great job with the photos, the ones of the Times employees looking out the windows are priceless.

Anyone who wants to get their pictures posted, you can send them to fightingtheleft.com. There are instructions for sending large files on the "About Us" page.
I've been hearing alot that the picture files are too big...I will work on that. I want high-quality pics, but I understand the frustration with load time. Glad you liked the pics...and let me know of other events coming up! Send to events@fightingtheleft.com

I took A LOT of pictures with my digital camera. I have no idea how to post them. I use my own personal web space from my internet provider to post grapics, etc. I have to do some culling occasionally because of space limitations.
Starting from scratch is a fairly tall order. But, first things first:
- If you don't have a PHOTO EDITING program of some kind you'll want to get one. Many free ones. You can compress(reduce the resolution/quality of) the pics in most cases to about 10 percent of the original without losing much detail(typical "size" for net use will be ~20k - 50k. You will also be able reduce the dimensions to something that will fit on a single page/screen. Something like 640 by 480 pixels for example. A photo editing program will likely have some "standard" sizes to choose from.
- Once you get your pics properly "sized", you'll need a place to put 'em. Numerous free IMAGE HOSTING sites on the web where you can place the pics. One caveat(amongst others) is most of them won't allow "hot" linking; that is linking the pic to another web site in such a way that it will appear on the other web site, like FR. You can only post the pics on the image hosting site and link to them, or to the page they're on.
I've never used an image hosting site but from what I've gathered, they are fairly user friendly; they sortof walk you through the process. Uploading is done directly from your computer to their site without an intermediate server. Simple, huh?
I'm not around FR as much as I used to be so any assistance I can give you will be kind of intermittent, but I'll be happy to help if I can.
