Every Thursday at the Finest |
Be mindful, O Lord, of all those who have fallen asleep in the hope of resurrection unto life eternal, pardon all their transgressions both voluntary and involuntary, whether in word, or deed, or thought. Shelter them in a place of verdure, a place of repose, whence all sickness, sorrow and sighing have fled away, and where the sight of thy countenance rejoiceth all thy Saints from all the ages. Grant them thy heavenly Kingdom, and a portion in thine ineffable and eternal blessings, and the enjoyment of thine unending Life. For thou art the Resurrection, and the Life, and the Repose of thy departed servants, O Christ our God, and unto thee we ascribe glory: to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
I think it comes from moving so many times in my life. I would come to love people and have to move off and leave them. So, somewhere along the line I stopped getting close to anyone except my husband and children. It's not a problem as a pastor, because it's not wise to get close to parishoners. I love people, but don't get too close. With Maggie it was different. I knew I wouldn't have to move off and leave her. She will always be part of me, and for me that is so special.
Where I live, there id one person that I love deeply like a daughter. Other than that, no one. Just aquaintances.
My 203 re "letter Theif" needs an off after leave...
Chalk it up to typos, sigh.
Thank you Purple. I appreciate it.
I love that picture, MEG. It is perfect for today.
Y w! Any time!
Rest In Peace Sweet Maggie

Did you see the picture she posted of her "getting away". :)
Yes, so funny!
LadyX: "Hiyo, Old Gray Mare, Away!!"
So many laughs over the years. Today, I am trying to remember the funny times. Like all of you, I am so very sad.
My computer crashed in the spring, and sadly....I lost all of my emails from Maggie, breaks my heart. Still have all of our correspondence from freepmail, thankfully. Maggie posted an awesome birthday post for me last year, I will keep it close to my heart, I love it.
Beautiful, Amy. I love that poem.....says so much
Psalm 23 was Maggie's favorite, as I remember
I have also been very sad over this, like it's not only the death of a dear person but of an era that was filled with so much goodness and innocence.
Thanks again for bringing a smile to my face today. Maybe we'll feel better tomorrow, I hope (((DH))).
(((HUGS)))) for you, dixie sass
Bless you and yours
You were blessed having Maggie as your Mom, but I know you already know that. Take good care of yourselves
Again, that video is awesome, as I said before...made me laugh and cry. I bet Striker greeted your Mom in Heaven.
Thank You so much for sharing it with us.
Thank you, Colleen.
When I found the poem, it jumped up and grabbed me. Maggie would be saying, "Don't Cry for Me, remember the good times."
Memories keep our loved ones with us until we meet again.
