A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day....07-06-06....A Finest Pet Day

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

I liked each *saying* better than previous one! I LOVE this thread!

Thanks sistah!!! I had intended on using alot more pictures BUT...am still reeling from my week and a half with dialup only when it took forever to load graphic heavy threads PLUS was in a "lazy" mood :o) Still loving the background/border you created. Very rich looking!

It's my secret method of staying so young-looking: Nobody notices the wrinkles when they're staring at your infantile behavior. ;-)

Ah...love your attitude. Sounds like a tagline to me :o) Cybertreats to Dubya from Giz and Rusty!!!

Thanks. Dogs are so wonderful. Tippy especially was. He knew what mood I was in, what I needed and generally looked after things. I miss him still. Merah is a bit of a clown. She has her own mind and will not allow anyone to take advantage of her.

Thanks for the cybertreats! I gave them to him. He stared blankly at me.

Hmmmm.

;-)

That would be an original tag line, wouldn't it?

But then everybody would think of me as wrinkly....

I'll have to think on it.

:-)

Thank you. Yes, I've seen the pics of John's Tippy. Good name for a dingo. I envy you having all those dogs around you. Your face must be very clean (from doggy kisses)!

Yes, JT left this morning. He's gone off before, to college, and it doesn't really feel much different than that. But yet... it does feel different, too.

Thank you for your compliments. But, I don't think we did all that much. We prayed for and with him and taught him Scriptures and to rely on God. But the all we did was create an environment. The Holy Spirit was the agent at work. He has grown so tall and mature. He is a man.

Dingoes are the wild dogs of Australia. We used to live on a nearby island and so dingoes have kinda interbred with other dogs on our island. Merah might be all dingo, but we're pretty sure Tippy was a dingo-mix. They're very loyal and very territorial and not afraid of anything.

What super-duper looking dogs! They have such personalities. I like the bottom picture with not only is Velvet on the rug but also there is one on the couch.

How's Dad doing?

It's been a pretty rough spring/summer. He loved doing outdoor work...but starts sweeping the patio and is physically worn out within 5 minutes which totally frustrates him. And his short term memory is really going AND last week his caregiver called in a panic because he wandered out the front yard which is a no no and a steep hill. He came back but there are all sorts of issues, him falling, the dogs getting lose (the back yard is fenced in and level and the only place he's ever used) BUT...he absolutely adores Rusty still. I would expect a move within the next 6 months. I would love to think that it goes as well as your MIL (although dad is WAY WAY beyond assisted living) Fortunately we have some wonderful places here. Am just not ready to deal with it. :o( But this is just another part of life right???? Thanks for asking.

Thoroughbred field trial bloodline goldens from Topbrass and Frisbee bloodlines. Wonderful dogs, except Hunter is an escape artist par excellence...Hubby was going to breed them, but life got in the way, and Amber only had the one litter, and we never bred Hunter.
