Illegal Aliens: A Few Myths to Keep in Mind . . .
Mexico City. Last Tuesday the Pew Hispanic Center announced that 41 percent of Mexicans surveyed in February and 46 percent questioned in May stated they would live in the United States if given "the means and opportunity." Indeed, two out of 10 people interviewed said they were prepared to enter the U.S. illegally. These figures could have amazing consequences because our Spanish- speaking neighbor has a population of nearly 106 million inhabitants.

Well, that just tells me that we need to arm up and assure 20% of Mexico doesn't attempt to invade our country.

Tunnel vision doesn't help the debate very much. The impact on our social services is secondary to the primary point - money. They work here because they can earn more money than at home. They work here because after ten years, they can afford a new home back home. Not that they'd want to return to the cess pool of corruption after enjoying the liberties of this country.

Maybe we should look at this another way....we now have how many baby-boomers about to retire? 50-55 million?
Hmmmmm...a reverse invasion of gringos headed south...
We could easily overwhelm their health care system with our ulcers, broken hips, and issues of incontinence.
Massive traffic jams as our geriatric set peters along doing 35 in the fast lane...

That is funny!! But....no way would a US citizen be able to get ANY social services in Mexico. They are not foolish enough to allow foreigners to come in and belly up to the trough; unlike the US they think all of their resources are for their own citizens. All others must pay cash.

Locate an apartment building that burned down in the last year, then print rent and utility bills for the last 5 years. Could sell these in Mexico if amnesty passes. Might help the vermin get over the border even.

A good article. I would like to see the stats on what percentage of our prison population are illegals, Mexican or otherwise. What percentage of crimes, broken down by violent/non violent are committed by illegals?
