I doubt if you can buy those here there would not be much of a market for them and if you could they probably would cost a fortune.

I would like to fly a flag either the St George or the Union Flag but I fear that people would think I belonged to some extreme group such as the BNP or their predecessor the National Front. Though maybe belonging to the Conservative Party is some sort of extreme group in some peoples eyes.

By the way Murdoch announced this week that he is considering withdrawing his support from new Labour in the next election circle and possibly support David Cameron and the Conservative Party.

This IMHO will mean that the Sun newspaper will switch from Labour to Conservative and if they do that is worth at least 5% more voters which in the last election would have been enough for a Conservative victory.

Post Reporter Dana Priest's Troubling Connections
By Jennifer Verner | May 9, 2006

---snip---

In the world where the left-wing media and the press meet, it's apparently enough to make charges without evidence. Such was the case with a well-publicized December 5, 2005 letter of support to Senator John McCain, promoting his amendment to the Defense Appropriations Bill "reinforcing the ban on cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment by all U.S. personnel around the world." The implication, without evidence, was that the torture allegations being recklessly thrown around at U.S. soldiers were all true.

Among the 33 who signed the document were Richard Clarke, a close partner of Mary O. McCarthy in the Clinton Administration's NSA; Melvin Goodman, CIP's senior fellow; Ray McGovern, a close working ally of Goodman who has written for publications associated with conspiracy theorist and former Marxist Lyndon LaRouche; and Larry Johnson, a long-time friend and defender of Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson. (Careful media observers will also note that McGovern and Johnson were the mainstream media's "go to" experts on the CIA in the wake of the Mary McCarthy firing.)

All of this has been accomplished without any major media scrutiny. Consider, however, that when the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth came forward with damning, factual allegations against John Kerry, questioning his anti-war activity and dubious claims about alleged U.S. atrocities in the Vietnam War, the New York Times produced a front-page story that included an elaborate chart supposedly "connecting the dots" of a Bush-friendly anti-Kerry conspiracy. Yet not a single mainstream media outlet has examined the documented histories and hard connections of money and political interest shared by Dana Priest, William Goodfellow, Mary McCarthy, Joe Wilson, Fenton Communications, Melvin Goodman and other vocal enemies of the Bush Administration. These relationships cannot be chalked up to random "inside the beltway" webs of acquaintance. They pose obvious and deeply troubling questions for anyone who values a free and independent press. The evidence suggests that Priest is part of a Democratic Party influence operation designed not only to politically damage the Bush Administration but to subvert U.S. foreign policy.

I don't know whether this is ture or not Snugs, but someone on a radio program last week, mentioned that in the UK, crimes committed with handguns are increasing.

If that's so, would you expect the authorities to change their procedures about when their police officers would be permitted to carry weapons?

My guess is Rush is at a level where he can do pretty much whatever he wants, he has all the money in the world and undoubtedly a good contract.

Ref John Mccain wanting total control and especially if he wants to get the nomination for President. He knows that the Conservatives will do all they can to keep his two faced butt out of the White House, and they will bring up every problem he has ever had and run ads on those problems unless they are barred by law to do so. He forgets that the same News Media that continues to suck up to him and knows all his dark side problems will not be restricted when they do dozens of stories on all his classic screw ups like Keating Five and protecting his wife's drug habit/Fraud,all the really sick anti-Gay and anti (fill in the blank) politically incorrect jokes. the list is endless and they will not hesitate to tell the truth then to keep a Pubbie out of the White House. They have one goal, and that is to get back the Dumocrat Power no matter who they hurt, and no matter who they have to betray especially America.

Schumer told Mitchell flat out that he, other leading Dems, and the Dem party were all solidly behind Lieberman in the primary and that he wouldn't go beyond that right now. Mitchell, not expecting such a strong statement of support from Schumer, tried to make something of the fact that he didn't say anything about who they would support after the primary, as if somehow they would pull their support from him, if he won the primary! As if that made any sense at all! She suggested that Schumer was waffling, even said, "sounds like what the meaning of 'is' is...." In fact, and as much as I dislike Schumer, he made a very clear straight forward reply, but it didn't fit with Mitchell's pre-prepared response and she wound up looking like she was trying to pound a square peg into a round hole.

About 10 years ago...Arlington made the restaurants and bars that didn't want to lose their customers that smoke, install seperate areas with special equipment to suck up any smoke...

I believe these were in the tens of thousands of dollars..

NOW, a new Mayor, who happens to be a medical doctor has decided that there will be NO smoking anywhere...and that is causing a big hoo-ha...especially since we have the ballpark for the Texas Rangers..and in a few years, the Dallas Cowboy stadium...

Mayor Cluck doesn't even want people to be able to smoke at any stadium bars/restaurants or outside in the stands..or EVEN have a designated smoking area OUTSIDE!!

NOW...I used to smoke...I quite about 15 years ago...but, I smoked for about 10 years..and grew up in a home where my parents both smoked like 3 packs a day, IN the house and car.

NONE of their children have ever had any breathing problems, asthma, colds...perfectly healthy, thank you very much.

I am not a smoker's advocate..far from it...BUT, I see the slippery slope here..and it is scary, IMHO>

Gun crime is up.

Regarding police officers I think there would be much opposition to them all carrying weapons but certainly more guns are being used by the Police.

I disagree with you...I do believe the White House has been saying that Iraq IS the War on Terror..

The problem is...the dems, libs, and MSM don't care...they make up their "truth"...it is called propaganda.

The solution is for smokers to wrap their tobacco in flag paper.

I do believe the White House has been saying that Iraq IS the War on Terror..

Its not debatable, not a grey area.

The POTUS and his PR machine if they were doing even a half assed job would have the socilaists terrified to even suggest that Iraq was not the WOT.

Instead Kerry RAN on this black propganda and the geniuses at the RNC couldn't even get Kerry on the record as to whether he considered Saddam Hussein to be a terrorist.

Inexcusable, and very dangerous. The homefront is not to be ignored, there are domestic enemies allied with the ragheads to bring the GOP government down.

GWB is derelict in fighting the propaganda war at home.

Soros has high paid Attorneys to keep him out of Jail this time, but his cancerous Tentacles reach into all Areas of the World and IMHO he is going to get nailed again. I have no doubt that he is manipulating Stock Prices again and cheating, but he probably has his fingerprints buried under layer after layer of Dummie Companies that may lead investigators to dead ends. I have a gut instinct about Oil Prices and his previous shenanigans in the Brit Stock market. He is totally without conscience, and has the money to pay a lot of underlings all over the World to do his dirty work.

As I understand it he only dabbled in the stock market in England and France (and from the conviction in France he is a convicted felon and fugitive) in order to manipulate the British Pound and other European currencies.  This time I think he would only be working in the stock market, or any other market, to the same end.  He and Warren Buffet have placed huge bets against the US economy and the US dollar.  I believe that he is one of the prime manipulators driving up the cost of oil as part of his plan to "break the bank of America" just as he broke the Bank of England several years ago.

Of course, I believe he is doing this not simply out of uncontrolled greed but as a long term sleeper agent left over from Yuri S. Andropov's KGB back in the bad old days.

By the way, you know that they figured out what the S stood for?  An old Russian name, Shrivelup.  Yuri Shrivelup Andropov.

You could order on line and they are not that expensive. At Walmart for instance you can get that base/holder and the Flag for under $20.00. You may look a little avant garde in your Country if you do that, but it would be up to you. I believe I remember you saying that the Brits are beginning to adapt to our Mother's Day Protocol recently. You certainly would have to have someone install the Base/holder in that Brick by using a drill with a Mason Bit. I think that is good news about Murdoch, he is always confounding someone, he is such an "Aussie", and never gives up.
