NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- A man is under arrest on suspicion of being one of up to four people who allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl near Noblesville last week.

Ex-Navy Officer Sentenced For Illegally Exporting Military Aircraft Parts
Defendant plotted with high-profile Pakistani weapons trader in arms export scheme
San Diego - A onetime Naval intelligence officer from Escondido was sentenced yesterday to one year in prison for his role in a scheme to illegally export military aircraft parts to Malaysia and Belgium following a joint investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS).
George Charles Budenz II, 61, was sentenced for violating the Arms Export Control Act as part of a massive probe that began in 2004. In addition to the prison term, Budenz was also ordered to spend six months in a halfway house and pay a $10,000 fine.
In October 2005, the former Navy Commander and naval attaché pleaded guilty to three counts of illegally exporting military aircraft parts as part of a scheme involving Pakistani arms trafficker Arif Ali Durrani. Specifically, Budenz admitted that, at Durrani's direction, he illegally exported engine parts for the U.S. F-5 fighter jet, the T-38 military trainer jet, and Chinook military helicopters to Malaysia and Belgium without the required export licenses.
At Durrani's trial here earlier this year, Budenz testified that he knew the Pakistani national had previously been convicted of violating the Arms Export Control Act and that Durrani was ineligible to obtain Department of State licenses for the export of defense articles. Evidence presented during the trial established that some of the aircraft parts Durrani exported were destined for Iran. Durrani was sentenced last month to more than 12 years in prison.
"This case demonstrates ICE's commitment to investigating arms traffickers who sell U.S. military parts to state sponsors of terrorism," said Miguel Unzueta, special agent in charge for the ICE office of investigations in San Diego. "ICE is helping to keep sensitive technology from falling into the wrong hands."

No limits
Highlights of IAF/IDF strikes against rocket launchers and missile transport vehicles on 18 July 2006:
Security cabinet decides no limit on IDF operation in Lebanon:
The government security cabinet decided to not limit the length and scope the IDF operation in Lebanon. The decision was made after a meeting at the Prime Minister's office Jerusalem.
IDF: Ground forces operating in Lebanon:
"IDF ground forces operate in different regions in Lebanon," told Ynet a senior officer from the Northern Command.
Report: IAF strikes 2 trucks in center of Beirut:
The IAF attacked two trucks in the center of Beirut, reported the television network al-Jazeera. This the first time that the IAF strikes in the center of Beirut.
All is forgiven...
Dozens of IDF soldiers in prison released back to their units:
Dozens of IDF soldiers who were serving time in military prisons for minor offences were released back to their units following the security situation. IDF sources reported that only soldiers with minor disciplinary violation were released and allowed to go back to their units.
Combatting terrorist financing the old-fashioned way...
IDF strikes 6 Hizbullah financing facilities:
The IDF attacked six building that were used by Hizbullah's financing system. Four of the targets were deemed "money houses" of Hizbullah.
Great moments in UN counter-terrorism efforts, number 2,582...
Solana: No sufficient data to include Hizbullah in terror organizations' list:
The United Nations High Representative of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) Javier Solana said during a press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni that the UN has no sufficient data to determine whether the Hizbullah can be included in the list of terror organizations.
They wouldn't be there if they didn't have a good reason...
IDF operating in Christian neighborhood in Beirut:
Lebanese sources reported Wednesday that the IDF had begun operating for the first time in the Al-Ashrafiya neighborhood in Beirut.
Al-Ashrafiya is populated by Christians and has not been considered a Hizbullah stronghold, Army Radio reported.
IDF, Hizbullah exchanging fire on northern border:
IDF forces and Hizbullah were entangled in a heavy exchange of fire Wednesday afternoon on the northern border.
IDF attacks more than 20 target in Lebanon last night, including Zilzal launchers:
IDF attacked more than 20 targets in Lebanon last night. The IAF attacked a long-range Zilzal rocket launcher, a Hizbullah ammunition warehouse, a truck transporting weapons, an access road, 13 buildings used by Hizbullah, and two buildings, which, according to the IDF, aided in financing the organization's activities.
IDF source: Hizbullah instructed terrorist organizations to carry out attacks in Israel:
A senior military source told ynet that "in the past days the terrorist organizations in Judea and Samaria received specific instructions from Hizbullah to step up their activities, including carrying out terror attacks in Israel in order to create a third front in Israel."
MK Erdan: Restrict publication of rocket landings:
MK Gilad Erdan (Likud) called on Defense Minister Amir Peretz to enact Section 87 of Defense Emergency Regulations and tell the military censor to restrict media publication of the exact locations of rocket landings.
"The public feels a need to keep up with what's going on, but it is still necessary to release strictly general information that's not likely to aid the enemy and endanger the security of Israel and its citizens," Erdan said.
He added that publishing the exact locations of the landings "allows the enemy forces to improve their capabilities and aim the rockets more effectively."
In honor of the request above, suffice it to say that we know of at least nine rocket or missile attacks on at least six cities in the northern third of Israel.

Thanks for the news, links and updates.
I think it will be a big news day and I will be away from a computer or TV for most of it, which might be a good thing. I'm helping my daughter take a group of "challenged" eight and nine year olds to a water park for play and a picnic. (her summer school special ed class)
Thanks for the heads up. If he tries the worst case scenario, they would have to get past the patriot / Arrow shield. Second, Israel would likely have their counter strike enroute before Iran's have struck and always has submarine counterstrike capabilities. I suspect that if this happened, the west wouldn't be weak-kneed, but W would have the B-2s enroute right away.
This is not a blow by blow, but a summary of the information Ive seen and heard. The situation is still critical and IMHO Israel still has the green light to continue for an indefinite period.
Overnight Activities
Things were quiet last night in the sense that nothing new nor serious happened. The nature and extent of the combat continues as it has the past several days. Evacuation of foreigners from Lebanon continues uninterferred with by either Israel or Hezbollah. RUMINT is rampant today regarding the potential attack on Tel Aviv a possibility, but timing is stilly largely speculative. Also, more RUMINT from Iran hinting on the possibility that they will have nuclear capabilities soon and / or some sort of strike on Israel is imminent. One rumor indicated that today would bring a big announcement. As of this posting it is about 8 P.M. in Iran, so it is unlikely this rumor has any validity to it.
Another limited IDF incursion into Lebanon
Israeli troops have entered southern Lebanon for the second time in two days. Like the last raid, this one had the limited objective of destroying Hezbollah strong points on the Lebanese border, as well as "searching for tunnels and mines" in the region.
Yesterdays alert was due to inferring too much into the report. It appears that for the next couple of days Israel will be conducting these reconnannisance in force missions to clear the initial assault paths, gauge Hezbollah response and tactics and finally to mask the real offensive. IDF spokesmen have been saying that Israel is not planning an invasion of S. Lebanon, but without boots on the ground, Hezbollah would be quick to move back into the areas.
Rockets continue to fall
Rockets continued to be fired into N. Israel with Haifa being hit by 80 in a 10 minute period. However, newswire reports indicate that the rockets have been falling in areas where only minimal damage can occur. This indicates that the air attacks have been largely successful in denying the favored launching sites from Hezbollah.
Gaza
Not to be forgotten, IDF has continued to strike various areas in Gaza to take out Hamas targets. Ground forces have been moving into and out of objectives, cleaning out Hamas pocket.
Central Israel on concrete HIGH Terror Alert
Central Israels Tel Aviv and Sharon districts are on high terror alert for two Palestinian suicide bomb squads reported heading for attack in two vehicles a brown Hyundai pickup and green Mazda Lantis. Overall, terror alert status has increased as Hamas and PLO try to infiltrate into Israel in support of Hezbollah and distract Israels efforts there. So far their attempts have been largely unsuccessful.
<< In New York, power outages due to equipment problems also disrupted air traffic at LaGuardia airport.>>
Now wait a minute. I thought the one in NY was due to weather problems.
HEZBOLLAH IS TARGETING U.S.
July 19, 2006 -- JERUSALEM - Hezbollah yesterday warned the United States: You're next on our hit list.
The threat against U.S. interests came as the FBI revealed it is searching for Hezbollah terrorist agents operating on American soil.

I link/have linked to almost all of these sites. Golly, does that make me a "terrorist" and/or "extremist?"
No, it doesn't, thank God (for life).

Thank you Godzilla for that summary.
We also had power outages in SoCal due to heat. I believe what happened here at LAX and other area airports was a combination of losing radar with local power outages. Double whammy.
Don't know about NY though.
