It's really bad here in Endwell, NY, Send prayers. Thanks Freepers!

The NYS Thruway is closed in parts due to flooding. I heard two truckers were killed when their trucks hit a gaping hole in the road.

200,000! Good grief! Where will they all go?

Any place that stayed dry during Agnes in '72. They're opening a lot of shelters. The local media have the locations up on their websites.

How can they order out 200,000 people from a town of less than 50,000? Were they having the Mother of All Conventions?

Just spoke with a client in Allentown and he said they've been spared much of the heavy rain.

It must be a Democratic precinct...

I didn't realize it was that bad up north. Click below for a Syracuse TV station's website with a link to the story on the two truckers who died...

Imagine if it was really raining hard ...

Almost 6 inches of rain fell in just 75 minutes near Hobby Airport, the National Weather Service reported.

PA is being hit very hard, as is NY. The immediate concern has been flash flooding from several days of heavy rain. Beyond flash flooding, the ability of the large rivers to accommodate the huge volume of water is a big problem. Rivers haven't crested yet, and very high levels are predicted throughout the watershed. Trenton and Philadelphia are also bracing for the impact.

Susquehanna expected to crest tomorrow afternoon between 38-40 feet. Agnes caused a crest of 40.9 feet in 1972. The levee walls are at 41 feet. This will be a close one.

I live in Bucks County where it is not so bad yet, but the water moves down the Delaware and we are expecting bad flooding at New Hope by tomorrow. Three years in a row for those poor folks.

You know, this doesn't seem all that humorous to me. Lots of folks are in danger from this flooding. If you find it amusing, how about laughing somewhere else?
