Kitten Haiku





I'm here to protect
The Pretty One's nice flowers
While she is away

So many lush scents
Perfume the air around me
Lots of cool shade too!

Many petals brush
My soft, silky fur as I
Look for little bugs

The little bugs are
Like me. Determined to choose
The nicest flowers!

I push them back some
They can look all they want, but
These flowers are mine!

A small bud bends and
Twists towards the Sun. To open
And savor the light!

There's a bug that flies
With pretty wings! I wonder
How it can do that?

I like the pretty
Bugs that fly. Not the fat ones
That buzz and can sting!

I am thankful for the unseasonably cool mornings we have been having in Central Texas..I am thankful I finally found my nozzle to the water hose so I could clean up my patio this morning..It really cleaned up my view while I freep! I am thankful for time to relax enough while I am here to get a bit done each day instead of the pressure of having to get back quickly. I am thankful for FReeper Friends.

Guests always prompt me do things in the house they probably never notice, Dolly! It just makes me feel better if I do them.

(Something bit me while I was outside..and I am thankful I have Lanacane anti itch extra strength creme..Worked like a charm!)

Meg, I enjoyed your comment on most people NOT noticing clean up vs not.. Here NOT the case. It would be hard to NOT see about 50 boxes of wet, smells "things" throughout the entire lower level of the home! And the strewn out things in drive way to dry out!

I am thankful I now have the ability physically to handle the situation. Many my age & stage cannot!
