Today during towage to China at coast of Kamchatka the diesel submarine has sunk deduced of structure of Pacific fleet, informs " the Echo of Moscow ".The submarine has left under water in area of the first Kuril passage. Fortunately, onboard a submarine nobody was. The crew of a tow also has not suffered. The reason of incident is now found out.
However, on preliminary data, hatches have been onboard battened down not so densely therefore zabortnaja water has gradually got inside of a submarine.
Let's remind, that the similar case took place on August, 30th 2003ã. when during buksirovkiv Polar for recycling nuclear submarine Ê-159 has sunk. The reason of incident became otryv pontoons in storm conditions. It has occured in three miles to northwest from about. Kildin in Barents sea.
Unfortunately, has not done without victims. From 10 members of a mooring command of a submarine to rescue it was possible only one.
I'm not sure from the translation whether the loss of life occurred in this incident or in the previous one, so I will refrain from making the obvious screen-door joke...
Obviously they forgot to close the screen doors... D'oh!
Thank you, Yoda, for the translation...
It's nice to know that with us, Yoda still is.
Damn! Beaten while choosing verbage!
I like your Latin sentence structure.
Soviet Navy make for fine Target, It Do!
One surely must comment not on it's frailties obvious, no?
All your base are belong to us!
If we can believe that, we will also buy you and your whole crew each a large box of Lo Mein noodles!
Nobody is likely still down there trying to get out!
There is always someone aboard a towed vessel.Usually a crew of three or 4 to keep the line snug and straight, towed vessels tend to veer in a zig zag and can wear the cable unless someone is at the helm, and that means INSIDE the sub.
Where is CPO when we need him? He could tell us the straight dope on this.
Aha, a homing device for Kim Jong Ils Nodong3 or a surveillance piece to record the propeller/engine sounds of all the ships in the RIMPAC exercise, for Red Subs to use later?
That's the last sub they're going to buy on eBay!
Got to watch out for that zabortnaya water. Nasty stuff, man.

My money is on changing the old in the title.Initially the Russians used a heavy-lift ship for delivery, I guess to save money they are towing them from the Admiralteyskie Verfi shipbuilding plant based in St. Petersburg to the Chinese base at Zhoushan, Zhejiang.
All base your are to us belong.
It is curious as you say, but I wonder how many of them will be following the RimPac ships around?
Meanwhile the zabortnaya water here myself I am into a little of ! LOL! ( I should never have this thread read!)
My crew of a toe never suffers either.>>>>>>>>>>>
I bet theirs didn't suffer either and their death was likely the gentle death of drowning.
Hatches densely must be bolted. Calamity you will avoid.
