June 26, 2006 -- Belarusian authorities said today they will freeze any assets that U.S. President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice may hold in the country.
The move is a response to Washington's decision last week to impose sanctions, including a freeze on assets, against Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka and other officials deemed accountable for the fraud that Western governments believe marred presidential elections in March.

Wow, that's harsh. I'm sure President Bush and Condi Rice have a boatload of assets sitting in Belarus that they aren't going to have access to anymore....

I doubt very seriously if the President or Dr. Rice have a lot of funds in a BelaRussian account. However if it makes them look strong and satisfies them let the kids play their games.

Uh, guys, one of the reasons real businessmen won't invest in your country could be that you're insane and spend most of your physical capital trying to kill off the decedents of whomever you imagine slighted you ten thousand years ago. If you would shut up and get work done, there might me a reason to invest in your backward, tin-pot, embarrassment of a country.
