His name won't appear on the ballot next week, but Rep. Tom Tancredo is the phantom factor haunting a Republican congressional primary in Utah.

CC, do you think Jacob's not being able to raise enough of this(campaign cash), is on par and equal with the evil and adverssity of a child cancer patientI've been trying to avoid this question, because my 7 year old grandson is in remission right now for leukemia. It was a severe test for all of us...not only my little guy Jake.
It is disgusting that you'd try to prove your point by bringing in sick children. Again...your spin won't play in Utah. We hear about tests and adversity every single day, in every single life. Some of our "tests" turn out to be our greatest source of strength....to LDS, this is the entire purpose of life and you making "fun" of it is sick.

Low blow. You are the one using a real child to score a debating point. Prayers for your grandchild.

Jacob answered honestly...I'll give him credit for that, he did answer honestly.
Anyway, his answer was amnesty.
To: Texasforever
Not a low blow, the truth.
Thanks

Every test and trial is adequate to its purpose.
You have to wonder about people who deceitfully suggest that only certain tests and trials are real, all the rest are invalid.
But that's Dane for you.
To: colorcountry
No you brought up your grandchild to score a point. That is dirty pool.

First of all, I will pray and hope for your grandson's complete recovery and second I wasn't the one who was putting a reletively petty adversity(i.e raising campaign cash) in the same league as your grandson's adversity.
That was John Jacob, IMO.

Jacob will not support shamnesty. All Cannon has ever done is support shamnesty.
Case closed. Go soil some other sandbox.

Cannon blatantly lies about his record. I hear his ads everyday.
Why should Utah return a crass liar to Congress?
To: Henchster
"Bottom line: You're STILL advocating deporting about 5% of the U.S. population"
There you go with straw man's argument again.
Its never an "all or nothing" matter.
I just gave you the example of plenty of murderers in New York that are never caught.
Does that mean we simply give up on ttying to catch killers and hanging them? No.
There are plenty of ways to sharply reduce illegal immigration, and send huge numbers of illegals home.
Just giving up and throwing one's hands in the air is simply not an option.
It's like when I startd Phyiscs in High School and had this hige book called on prnciples of physics, then saying "Hey, this book is so big I can never learn everyhthing in it", and then just giving up.
Well I did learn everything in it. Didn't take one dy , month or year, and it took planty of hard work, but I still did it.
This goverment's answer is to not really try, and simply start talking amnesty.
We will not accept that.

Why should Utah return a crass liar to Congress? It is better than a guy that blames his lack of campaign funds on the Devil. That is scary crazy.

Well gee, I guess that makes the ACU a pack of liars also since they have given Chris Cannon a 100% rating the last 2 years.

"Uh yes Jacob did, with his saying he was being singled out by satan and whining about his petty misfortune(not raising enough campaign cash). "
Jacob brought up kids suffering from cancer?
Who knew?
When was that again?

Jacob said that he supports amnesty. Cannon has said that the senate bill is a freak show and Cannon has voted for HR4437. Cannon's earlier record on illegal aliens is not so good.
I'm sticking around and I will be pointing those things out.
If you don't like it then go bury your head in the sandbox.

>>>No you brought up your grandchild to score a point. That is dirty pool.<<<<
I guess I could have said I don't want to answer and changed the subject...yeah, I'm sure that would have worked.
The issue is not about WHAT the test is or how big, or how small....it is that we ALL have tests...some small, some large. Think about your biggest hurdle. Okay are you thinking...now think about a smaller one....it is still a hurdle (test)...now you are getting your thoughts in line with an LDS Utah voter.
Today, my tests were these: (call it a low blow, but it is valid in the argument at hand)
I got a letter from the IRS questioning a valid IRA deduction in 2004. I got angry and self righteous.
My husband didn't want to go to my cousin's missionary farewell, I became angry with him and it destroyed my peace.
My car was dirty and I was embarrased to drive it downtown and park it in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building parking lot. It hurt my pride.
These are all test. Each one of these occurences caused me to sin. I was unable to overcome my tests, but by recognizing my weakness I am better prepared to face the challenges next time they come. Were the test from Satan? I don't know that I would say that, but I would say they weren't from God...so therefore......
Are you getting better educated on the Christian mindset yet?

So his mission is to keep strong believers in Christ from coming to the promised land for God's blessings? Is that about right?
You've talked to all 10 million of these thieves and discerned what is in their hearts, eh? That's quite an accomplishment since Jesus himself only managed to talk to two on the cross, and even then the Lord was batting .500.
