Jacob with his equating his own petty misfortunes(not raising enough campign cash) cheapens and insults the people who face real adversity and evil everyday, IMO.Yeah Dane...everyone but Jacob faces REAL adversity. That Jacob is just a nutjob. Why suffering business setbacks is nothing, some people have a "real" problem with pornography and not getting their welfare check on time so they can watch their porn...now THAT is adversity < /sarc>

Spin What spin? Jacob was asked a question and he responded realistically. Should he have ducked and weaved like Cannon fodder would have?

Jacob answered honestly, as opposed to Cannon who tried to "triangulate" and get his groove on with La Raza.

You spin a politicians actual words into a "trial baloon" That is just rationalizing.

CC, do you think Jacob's not being able to raise enough of this(campaign cash), is on par and equal with the evil and adverssity of a child cancer patient Let me rephrase that.
CC, do you think Jacob's not being able to raise enough of this(campaign cash), is on par and equal with the evil and adverssity of a child cancer patient has to deal with every day

Not voting or voting a third party means you are voting for the Democrat.

I heard a con artist named Chris Cannon on the radio today trying to tell me that no one in Congress is more zealously opposed to open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens than he is. He warned me that unless I voted for him, our nation would be doomed to drown beneath a tidal wave of illegal aliens. It's pathetic, I can't believe anybody in Utah would fall for that anymore than the rest of us do.
To: Texasforever
So his mission is to keep strong believers in Christ from coming to the promised land for God's blessings You're severely out of touch with Utah voters.....No his mission is to return to his Father in Heaven. I'm sure you will go to your father too.

You spin a politicians actual words into a "trial baloon" That is just rationalizing. Look up "hypothetical" in the dictionary. Jacob's plan was just that. An answer given in a debate.
Look up "AMNESTY" in the dictionary. Cannon's mug covers half the page.

"They really feel they are doing God's work by keeping a group that is on the whole stronger believers in Christ that the Average American from entering the country to better their own conditions"
Groan.
How clueless can you get?
Listen, no country on the entire planet, especially Mexico allows itself to be invaded by a bunch of law breaking illegal aliens, with that country NOT having any say in who enters or does not enter their country.
We have hundreds of millions of people in India for example, better educated, speak better English that the Mexican illegals, who want to come here to "better their lives" too, that doesn't mean we should open our borders and let them just come in .
You are simply not making any sense.
If open borders are so important to you, I sugest you go tell that to your Mexican comrades, so they open their borders with Guatemala.

Jacob's life is a test...his whole life! So is yours and mine. Jacob is in a place in his life where he is being tested just by running for office.
Some people are tested by having too much money, some are tested through illness or addiction. Some are tested by pride and ignorance. I'll stop there, it seems appropriate.

So the way to heaven is to punish millions of strong believers in the same Christ by denying them the opportunity to better their lives? That is a very dangerous road to go down in matters of the soul I would think.

Neither Jacob, nor anyone here has made that claim.
But hey, feel free to make things up and then knock your own creation down will ya?

Only one reply to that one : Nonsense!
To: Jameison
Bottom line: You're STILL advocating deporting about 5% of the U.S. population.
I live in Los Ageles. One recent estimate was that 15-20% of the population here entered illegally. Most of them have been here a long time, hold steady jobs, and contribute to our economy. The Southern California economy would collapse if you simply removed them without replacing them with someone.
Yes, let's change the policy, seal the borders, train agents, AND document and tax existing illegals.
MAIN POINT: I just can't see trying to remove an honest, trustworthy Republican for an untested one, on differences you have with him over one issue that, as we have established tonight, is complex, when he supports your position 90% of the time.

Hey I agree that we are a nation of laws. That is what makes us men. However when Jacobs blames SATAN for his business failures and the result damage to his campaign then the only logical reason for that is that Jacobs is acting in Christ's name and is therefore facing adversity because of his effort to stop illegal immigration. He brought it up and then asked the paper not to print it. I really doubt that God is wasting a lot of time worrying about illegal immigration.

Like I said his remarks and whining cheapen and insult those who deal with evil and adversity 10000 times greater than his current petty misfortune.

More circular arguments.
Did you pen that 80s song "Spin me round and round like a record" by the way?
